Rob and Jane Wilkinson capture the beauty of birds and wildlife through photography and videography as we traverse nature parks in our 4x4, equipped with a rooftop tent for immersive exploration.
We are a duo that called Windhoek, Namibia, home for six adventurous years until our retirement in 2012. Those years allowed us to embrace our passions: journeying through the untamed corners of Namibia and Botswana and immersing ourselves in the art of photographing birds and wildlife. Our trusty 4X4, fully equipped for camping, became our vessel to explore the great outdoors, an endeavour that continues even now.
From the captivating landscapes of Botswana to the rhythmic pulse of Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi, our journeys have expanded from our South African base. The allure of these lands still beckons us, and we're thrilled to open a window into our experiences through this KZread channel.

Who would have thought it? Very interesting, thank you.
Very interesting and dramatic. I wondered who pulled the carcass out of the water. By the way, you can put a corrective caption over the video at the time of the weight error. Excellent, thank you.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. We will look into the corrective caption.
Hard to watch, must have pulled your heart strings. Such a huge animal, that type of injury life threatening.
So sad to watch her.
When I was a little kid, I saw a really big lion at Walmart
There's a Giraffe 🦒 at toys r us, u gotta pay to feed or pet it however.
Please note that we made an error comparing the weight of the lion vs the buffalo. Buffaloes can weigh 3-4 times more than an adult male lion.
Although that's probably true for most Lions I have seen a couple of males take down buffaloes when by their self. Usually the males eat first but some Buffalo come by not paying any attention to the male lion and he killed the Buffalo and allowed the females and cubs to eat and he didn't eat any of the Buffalo and he had no help killing it he done it completely alone.
That must have been a wonderful sighting for you. It is fairly unusual for a male to take down a buffalo and not eat. And it's true, lions will use any opportunity to take down an animal that isn't paying attention. Thanks for your interest.
1:53 Male lions weigh about 200 kg so a buffalo can be four times their weight.
You are absolutely right. Thanks for pointing out the error.
Oh! Mama mia.... the family bond!!!❤
Quite the little actor!
They always are and love the attention. We have them a lot around Somons Town
So cute...bet the beetle wasn't so delighted. Mongy looks in lovely condition, great footage...keep it coming❤
