I used to watch this every day when I was 8 years old I'm now 48 years old and it brings back memories when one time I came home from school for lunch the school allowed me to come home for lunch every day because I lived across the street from Dean elementary school in Lakewood Colorado in 1983 1984 1985 1986 off of exposition and Harlan St by Alameda and Harlan one time I fell asleep watching this same exzact show and I woke with the principal ringing the door bell I ended up staying home for the rest of that day wow what a quincidence the show about sleep and I slept after I ate lunch at home I was then transfered to another school because I was a wiz kid in school now I'm a homicide detective and getting ready to retire in about 5 years I love this show when we were kids we never thought life was so valuable and very precious and very easy to lose our lives if we don't take care of ourselves and always go along with your gut feeling if situation doesn't look safe then most likely it is unsafe stay home at night and keep a neighborhood watch look out for each other and suspicious activity don't be scared to call the police that's why we are here to save lives and solve violent crimes I live the cast here and so does my homicide unit they laughed about me watching this when I was a kid I liked Sam Crenshaw he was my favorite😆

I tried for fun, puppetry. I found out that it takes a lot of good talent operating a puppet. Makes you realize how much work goes into producing a kids show.

I was reading a pamphlet talking about Sesame Street and there's a part where Fran Brill talks about what it's like being a puppeteer for the Muppets. When you're doing a full body character like Big Bird, you have to be in a hot suit. When you're doing a hand puppet, you have to be on the floor and the puppeteers are toppled on top of each other (at least if they're interacting with a human). Also, I watched a video of Noel MacNeal talking about his experience doing the title character for Bear in the Big Blue House saying that they used to crank k the air conditioner full power so that he wouldn't pass out inside the costume and everyone else was freezing.
