  That’s facts, especially for college. It’s because in lecture they just explain the concept and do a few representative examples. If they did hard stuff in class, students would zone out. Also, simply watching someone teach you something doesn’t help memory. In homework, you do more application problems and you’re alone and don’t have someone to walk you through it. Tests are supposed to show higher level learning, so they are seeing if you can make connections and inferences.
