Hello everyone! My name is Brendan aka Brenny. I’ve been fingerboarding since 2017 and I’m going to be posting my review content and brand spotlights. Fingerboarding is a niche hobby with somewhat of an expensive buy in at first. So I would like to not only help existing fingerboarders but new fingerboarders discover the brands to support and to avoid.

I go all the way with 34mm standard or some shaped decks with square tails nowadays. I still use my original 26mm tech decks with their old wheels and original griptape though, something is super humbling and fun about the challenge they pose to make work. I really like using these old tech decks and narrow decks for flipping in and out of tricks. I actually use small stock old tech decks with wheels that don't even spin to learn and practice 😅 It makes using a real setup even easier plus I love trying and failing
I got some 61D Ultraspins from Teak this week!! Your videos inspired me yet again, and they fit so well on the hex trucks too! This new complete has got me playing my desk like it's the drums all day 😂 I've never had non-China wheels so this is a huge upgrade.
It makes such a huge difference! Glad you’re enjoying it!
Holy crap I used to have that gameboy game! You just unlocked that memory and now I’m like dang fingerboarding was part of my life all along hahaha
Dudeguy wheels are so smooth. I like the wide grippy ones, got two sets hah. Seeing this makes me really wanna try the Bloob wheels tho
hey brenny, i recently joined the fingerboarding community and i saw you on insta and followed and then found your yt so i subscribed but i was wondering if i could make and intro similar to yours, as in clips in the back and stuff
Nice video, I love messing with the skinny old decks, but will never main them over my 34mm haha
nice setup! trying diff shapes and molds is fun to see how they skate differently! 32-34 mm is my personal favorite for control/look
29 and 26 is very hard to get used to but the satisfaction of landing tricks doesn’t compare to anything over 33
yo wtf knoebels been there plenty of times. awesome
Great video bro, makes me want to setup one of mine that I have!
still remember getting these back in 2009, ngl really liked the flatter shape
I thought I could shred finger boards 😅😅
Oh sick. We should set up a fingering date! (I'm new to the lingo)
I love teak apex wheels, I have 10 sets of them. I also have 3 sets of the ATP wheels, I really like them as well. My only gripe with them is that they do get bearing slip a little bit.
I had one of these back in the day and going just off price it was a REALLY big upgrade since the truck technology wasn't really there yet and wheels were just coming up with the backless designs. So it was just some Foam tape and some winkler wheels and you're good to go for not a whole lot of money, just a lot of waiting for shipping
26mm are super fun to bust out at a event and watch peoples faces when you can actually use them. lol I keep a couple gen one plastic tech decks set up and use them several times a week. I have found that smaller wheels work way better one them, I am currently using Kraken streets on mine and they are perfect. but anything like a piro mid, or ill pill mini, or blistered v4\v5s work great.
I recently picked up a different wooden collector series deck, it’s also plan b. I wonder how rare these ones are.
sickk
Hell yeah.
The setup looks super clean even if it's a bit wee 😁
Love this video definitely makes me wanna just try some lower setups I ride a 34 or 33
Always a good day when Brenny post 🙌
that’s so fire i wish i still had mine from a couple years ago i would have upgraded it with the now dynamic 26mm trucks 🤧🤧🤧
Aaayyy, good to see another upload! Thanks for keeping the great content flowing! Just got a 34mm slushcult and the size is SO much better for me. Crazy you can shred such a skinny board.
the old 26mm boards were great when I was a kid and my fingers were tiny but now as an adult the 34mm just feels right.
Shoot haha ya the old tech decks kicks back then was to low in my opinion but we all learned on them . Also ya I agree 26 a little too small for us older people. Are finger just bigger 😂.I ride 29mm and it’s a challenge but I like a challenge after all these years. Also think it looks better for clips makes you land finger tips
This became so much more of a “Brenny hates 26mm” than I wanted 😂 the deck was actually super fun is was just harder than I expected
nice plastic wheels are so good. Cartwheels are my second favorite wheel. I really want to try flatface and brt street dogs.
Street dogs are probably the only wheel from Blackriver I haven’t been stoked on. Mine are blue tho so material can make a difference. I have a set of classics and almighties that I am loving rn
i liked ur personality throughout the vid BUT THEN HE HIT THE SMOOTHEST TRICKS ASWELL DAMNNNNN SON
Appreciate you!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻
You have easily become my favorite fingerboard content creator. I am also married and close to your age too, which makes your content a bit more relatable! I hope you continue to upload consistently! I am newer to the scene and I am still a beginner but your videos have been extremely helpful. Keep it up!
Thank you so much! I very much appreciate the kind words 🙏🏻 working on a new vid now which will be up by the end of the week
💪❤️🔥🛹
4:22 I’m pretty sure dirty fingers with the ill pillz has had resin fb wheels for a while
Illpills are actually urethane wheels!
@@brennyfb along side the urethane wheels, ill pillz also come in resin. They come in both urethane and resin
AW MAN, I wish I would've known about this. I've been out of the scene for a while but this is a wonderfully large get together not too far from my house! I'll have to make it next year if they have one. Good stuff man!
Shoot I forgot to sub last vid I watched. Won me over with the Counterparts banner before anything lol. Teak has been so clutch to me over the years, I've used a LOT of their budget completes to pass around to all my friends. I kept some for parts in case anything goes down. Everything from their mystery completes for beginners to their mystery holiday boxes gave me insane value like $8 china completes & $20 wheels worth double that. Nice customer support too. The gen 2 prodigy trucks are weird, I got the default color, and they were copper. I got a black set and they were another much better kind of grey metal unsure of the material. I much prefer the chems hex trucks now that I have them, however, those trucks/prodigy trucks aren't too bad with riser pads and pivot cups; they're low to the ground and wheelbite me without those upgrades. I just really dislike the copper ones, the others are great. They feel good enough to perform most grinds but before you break them in they will slip off grinds way more than higher end trucks. I think this helps them tolerate brick/concrete kind of surfaces when they're new though. Weird trade-off. I've been wanting to get some new Apex wheels after mine got sand in them and I shredded the bearings so much they rattle now. Glad these did you good! I hope they hold up well.
Banger🫶🏽✌🏾
Can you do a video on all your obstacles and boards!
It’s definitely on the docket!
resin wheels are around since years but i also don’t often see them.
I just got these trucks in the mail today. When I first saw "Hex trucks" I scrolled right past them thinking it was some funky allen key reverse kingpin nonsense. For this price it's really hard to find trucks made of a decent quality metal, but these are better than everything cheaper than it. I put those cheap o ring bushings on them, it has no need for pivot cup enhancements, and it fit all 3 different wheels I have well. My issue now is that I need to wait another day for more tape to come in so I can skate them for real 😂😂😂
RIGHT?! It’s insane how a “China” truck has such quality.
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Love these vids so much bro, also I noticed your a Shonen jump fan based on the series in the background so I recommend checking out either yu yu hakusho or fist of the North Star. Classic staples in the manga industry 😼
Im a massive YYH fan and just started getting volumes of it! I have yet to read Fist of the North Star but it’s definitely on my short list!
Bloob has definitely come up with something special with his formula. Best fingerboard wheels hands down!
bloob the best mane
❤❤
Do you know any decent urethene wheels for under 20 dollars?
Honestly you probably won’t have much luck finding urethane for under 20. I would recommend teak and abstract for 20-30 range
OK thanks
wait the bloobs are not urethane?! they feel so good. i have them on one of my mains. that's dope, i didn't know that. i'm a big bloob fan.
Kick flip krooks!! That’s how I feel every time! Love it!
Right?!
🫶🏼 mental shit sucks felt that. we’ll make it through.
Im pretty sure Yellow wood did the shield less bearing first. I never owned a pair but I remember looking at the website a few years back a noticing the shield less bearing wheels.
Good to know! I had yet to see any before Daytona. It's definitely not the norm at least
Please get some Abstract wheels from Redemption...Good cheaper urethane wheel.
It’s on my short list!
daytona is da shizz
Love this video bro! The Bloob wheels are 71D hardness btw 🦾🤝
My man 🙏🏻
