  D P ohne Jon Lord und Richie Blackmore ..... nee das macht keinen Spass mehr. Das Duell Keybord vs Guitar ist auch nicht mehr der Renner. Ich konnte noch Don Arey vs Steve Morse live erleben aber das hier ...... nee Leute wenn es am schönsten ist sollte man aufhören.

  Also ich persönlich finde Simon McBride um Welten besser als Richie Blackmore in 2024 sein könnte. Für mich ist das hier immer noch 100% Purple, Besetzungswechsel gehören halt dazu.

  Simon plays rythem guitar like he means it like Ritchie Blackmore did. Wow, what a difference in the rhythm section. It's alive and powerful again. Incredible.

  Seit Jahrzehnten die gleichen Songs bei der Zugabe. Ganz schön langweilig und berechenbar, bzw. keine Spannung. Ich kann DP live nicht mehr hören ... und das sage ich als Fan seit 1970.

  Simple! Joe Biden filled in for Gillan back in 1985 when Gillan fell ill during the american leg of the PS tour. Biden did 3 or 4 gigs with them before Gillan came back. He, Biden, then went back to his own band, Manowar, before joining The Presidents of the United States.

  It pains me to say it, but Gillan should call it quits, the rest of the band is on Fire but age has showed it's ugly Face on Gillans voice (comes to us all sooner or later)

  I disagree! He shouldn’t quit before he falls over… He is a living legend, he’s got NOTHING left to prove, he deserves everything he’s got. I’m thankful for each day Deep Purple are still around. There will come a day when there’s no Purple, and the world will be emptier. I don’t care if he doesen’t sound like he did in his twenties. He can still sing!

  I totally agree. But Gillan's fans are fanatics. Even when the day comes, when Gillan is just sitting on stage, silent, the fanatics would shout out loud, that he is still a good singer. Whoever really loves the young Gillan, feels pain seeing him on stage in this poor condition.

  Siehe die Beschreibung! Supertramp hat sich 2011 endgültig getrennt. Bei diesem Konzert sind jedoch zwei ehemalige Mitglieder von Supertramp dabei: John Helliwell, der seit 1973 zur Band gehörte, und Jesse Siebenberg, der bei der letzten Wiedervereinigung 2010 hinzukam. Jesse ist der Sohn von Bob Siebenberg, der ebenfalls seit 1973 Mitglied der Band ist.

  Pretty hard to capture the incredible classic lineup album version. Missing Hodgson’s golden voice and this heavy handed 12-string gave it a somewhat clunky groove. Wish there had been a bit more of the orchestral arrangement to brighten up the cover version. Nice to hear the tune anyway. It’s a wonderful song.

  I understand what you mean! Nevertheless, I was very happy to experience this concert with former Supertramp members. One should not forget that the band disbanded in 2011.
