thank you french fox for proving my point that almost every single groundloop is caused by backwards aileron input. notice right when the ground loop starts to the left side he is putting in right aileron which is how he would steer his car if it were going off the left side of the road. must follow the nose with the aileron input so you have to steer the aileron the same way you going to the side of the runway. the ailerons are much more powerful than the rudders and if you steer them wrong you cannot stop the ground loop with rudder, you are screwed. try it sometime when you are rolling out after landing. give it just a small amount of aileron and watch the nose go the opposite direction. then you will be a believer! i steer my luscombe with ailerons every time i land to maintain proficiency because you need it. i'm also a CFI with 5 or 6 thousand hours on the asphalt bangin out tailwheel endoresements with ham handed nosewheel defectives! contact me if you really want to know how to gain serious confidence in your taildragger. 503 302 4037. i can't even tell you how many groundloops i've saved with students by knowing about ailerons. that's the ONLY thing that has saved me all these years. i watch guys all the time on landing rollout and almost every single one has no clue what aileron inputs they are making. most steer like their car which is backwards in a taildragger on the ground. this is exaclty why there are so many ground loops. i watch all these ground loop vids with the cockpit view and see the pilot steer backwards every time and i know what's going to happen before it starts.

After watching your videos, I can understand better the purpose of your airplane and how much you enjoy it, and now for the first time, I believe that in the future I could be there as well.
