Slideshows and video clips of the hiking trails on gjhikes.com. The hikes are from the Grand Junction, Colorado and surrounding area including southeastern Utah, Arizona and New Mexico.
Camped at the top. Saw a herd of wild horses being led away from a two-rainbowed early morning rainstorm by a red-tailed hawk, it was showing them the way-I shit you not. It was the most exquisite thing I've ever seen, with lightning off on the western horizon, out among the distant reddening peaks of the La Sal Mountains looming above the Uncompahgre Plateau.

I would change the pictures faster than that, so that they can't be followed even by accident...

Hiked to Lost lake in 1969 with my older brother, and cast a fly and bubble from the shore at mid lake. My line jammed on the cast and the bubble landed right in front of me about 2 feet. A 10 lb Brown trout came up out of the deep right in front of us, and grabbed the bubble and took it right back down, of course bending my rod and snapping the line. After a lifetime of trout fishing in Colorado, it's still the largest native trout I've seen. Jaw dropping.

This is a beautiful trail. Your slides don't capture how much uphill there is in it for a runner! LOL
