My grandfather bought a Hancock stud Sparky Joe. He drove from New Mexico to McAllister Oklahoma to get him. We got lots of good horses from him.

I really like Red Steagall. Know hin back in the 70's when he did dance halls. Run into him on occasion around Fort Worth. Quality people.

I used to have the Stables and outdoor arena just down from.what was Cowboy Hall of Fame and behind what was Cowtown Station. We also had Miss Molly's Bed and Breakfast up Exchange Ave. Great great time. Almost all gone now. A group came in from California and have turned into what they think is the Stockyards. SAD

I sometimes think “Ride For The Brand” can also apply to being a good Patriot for our USA, We The People. There’s too many lazy people tearing our country down and not appreciating what we’ve got.

Mr.Steagall - we are trying to find one of your songs... it was featured in the 1971 film Vanishing Point. Can you help us find it please? Lyrics include: Now my soul is free from sin Since he opened up the door and let me in Soon I'll walk on streets of gold I'm a sheep in his great fold I'm no longer all alone Since sweet Jesus made me whole and led me home

*Circle of Life *For everything there is a time *Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly with God.. * My people are destroyed for lack of (Godly) knowledge and understanding (&wisdom)... *The whole world tries to block & steal your Godliness.. *Test the spirits (&people) and dont be decieved.. *Great & powerful prayerfulness is a Christians birthright and obligation *All that is wrong is based on unGodliness, foolishness, unprayerfulness and sin.. *All Christians are born into Spiritual warfare and most dont know it or do it.... *Jeremiah 17:5- Trust in God, not in human beings *Better to obey God than men * The just shall by mustard seed childlike faith. * The enemies will only find themselves fighting against God *God is in control and not the evildoers & God always wins * God's truth will set us free.. * Be still and know that I am God. * Where two or more are gathered, I am in their midst- JESUS * Pride is the beginning of sin- The wages of sin are death, destruction and sickness- Choose God, life, truth and blessings that you may live.. * Repent and forgive every night * Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, patience, *Also humility, wisdom, prayerfulness, courage, persistance, respect, gratitude, and being honorable decent humanitarian human beings. * God bless your people with fruit of the spirit and Golden rule Godliness...

Cowboy Poems: Tracks that won't blow out Written by Ray Owens I won't say that it's the exact book being read from in this video, but if you internet search "Ray Owens writer" ... you should find an official RayOwens page near the top of the search that has the book title I gave you. AND it has a few free to read poems out of the book that you can click on and read. Enjoy.

I was once given the opportunity to take Mr. Steagall from Cheyenne (CFD) down to the airport in Denver. I felt like I was obligated to stick with the job I was on and couldn’t get away to drive him down there. I think about it often. I suppose I could’ve found someone to cover for me. If I’m being really truthful, I hate the drive down the Front Range of Colorado, and that may have had more to do with my turning down the opportunity than anything. For what it’s worth, sir, I regret it now.

The Guitar added the the right feel , and every time When I listen to to this Poem , Like a Rudyard Kipling Poem it draws a tear to my Eye . not from sadness but from Pride , because my dad whooped the Right attitude in to my Hide , Do it right the First time my son , Clean your tools and look back at on your work with Pride , maybe no one will ever notice how perfect the fence was planned , or the effort it took to build that fence or even that there is a fence even there , but the care and exacting work you did . you will look on it every time you ride past there , and years later when you lay your head down for the last time and with all your soul , callused hands and worn out body , You'll know you were a man worth his salt and if you did it right the first time , there will be no fault found in you , and long after you are gone that fence will still stand the the test of time , That Fence Strong Straight and True long past your last good night . Today We have a Shortage of Skilled , Ethical Tradesmen and Sadly I fear that America has lost this Very Honorable Quality .
