    I had the opportunity to purchase your product some years ago and I have never be able to forget about it, it was the best popcorn I have ever had and I've been looking for it for years...😅 I have not been able to find your popcorn in Toronto Canada since, your product should be much more accessible because it's actually really good❤😊

    Would it be possible to find a way for literature to be in braille, as well as have numbers on the popper's lid be in raised braille dots for people like me that who are blind? Thank you!

    Its popcorn not rocket science. You really don't need the gimmicky turning handle thingy. I have been making popcorn on my stove top for years without the whirly pop. I use a (drum roll please) 2 quart saucepan I bought at IKEA over ten years ago. Here's how. Ingredients: 1/ cup popcorn 1/4 teaspoon salt Vegetable oil Process: 1) Into a preheated saucepan on mediumish low heat (it depends on your stove) pour enough oil to evenly coat all of the kernels in the bottom of the saucepan. Only add three unpopped kernels and leave them (and only them) until they pop. 2) Add the salt and popcorn and leave the lid just slightly off of the pan. Swirl once to coat the popcorn. 3) Leave it be. Really, just leave it be. No, don't walk away, but don't touch it either. 4) Once the popping has slowed until there is only one pop every eight seconds or so turn off the heat. Now wait a bit until the random last pops happen and pour into a really big bowl. Or you can spend $40.00 - $50.00 (or more) for a gadget you only use once every so often, but then forget about and let gather dust in the back of your cupboard.

    I found another adjustment. The lid on my popper got slightly bent on the side away from the handle. This made my gears a little notchy. Bending the lid back flat got it running smooth again. Thanks for the video. It got me looking at my popper more closely to identify my issue. ;)

    I have one I purchased around 2004. It has the plexiglass window. It's served very well. The plexiglass has recently cracked in a couple of places and I'll be replacing it soon. The point - they work well and last for years!

    Thanks. Yesterday, I ordered a silver aluminum Whirley Pop with metal gears at a bargain price and am looking forward to receiving it. It will be used on high-power, cast iron burner hot plates to make caramel popcorn and other types that would wreck my electric poppers. The large yellow butterfly popcorn is my favorite too. I order it from a Midwest farm. We were raised with it, plus a variety of poppers from home kitchens and fireplaces to lush campsites. Too bad stores continue to play nasty retail games with Whirley Pops. I see basic aluminum models with nylon gears priced anywhere from $17.50 to $80.00 online!

    I LOVE when my mom makes popcorn in the Whirly Pop! It’s the best I’ve ever had. Also, being a country squirrel, it’s the only popcorn I’ve ever had (in VERY limited amounts, because, you know, I’m a squirrel) My whole family loves the Whirly Pop! And thanks for this easy to follow vid to fix ours so I can have some tonight!

    We love our Whirley-Pop and were devastated when the gear on top became out of alignment. Thankfully, you have made this straightforward video showing me how to fix the gears. I have noticed that there appears to be some wear on the gears and wonder if one is able to order a replacement gear from you? And, hopefully a video instructing how to replace it?

    I was always jealous of people who owned a Whirley Pop...until two weeks ago when I got mine. I rave about my Whirley Pop to everyone. Fortunately, I got one with the metal gears and they work beautifully. I'm also a kettle corn fan and the Whirley Pop makes an awesome batch of kettle corn in less than 3 minutes. I can't say enough good things about this little wonder. It's just incredible!

    pretty damned cheesy build quality. Who wants to have to mess with fixing the damned thing just for a simple batch of popcorn, and why in the world would nylon even be considered to construct gears???

  • @ScottALanter
    @ScottALanter3 жыл бұрын

    A lot of people have that same thought. But, actually the Whirley Pop is purposely designed that way. By using very thin metal, the pot heats up extremely quickly. I usually have a batch of regular popcorn done from start to finish in a little over two minutes, and, a batch of kettle corn in less than 3 1/2 minutes. As for the gears, I agree that nylon should never be used. I purchased mine a couple of weeks ago and it had the metal gears, thankfully. So, it's possible that all Whirley Pops are made with metal gears now. It makes a fantastic batch of popcorn. I even make kettle corn in mine and cleanup is a snap. It's really an excellent popper.

    I’ve been using a WhirleyPop for years. I’m on my third unit, not because there’s anything wrong with the quality, but because I pop so much corn, the machine doesn’t stand a chance. I really enjoy the stainless unit because the pan heats more evenly, and I seldom have a less-than-perfect batch. I make popcorn and give it away to friends and family, so I buy kernels in 50-pound bags. I just opened my 5th bag since January. I figured out that the cleanup is exactly the same for 20 batches as it is for one batch. I bag it up in gallon-sized freezer bags. Today I made 21 bags of regular corn and 13 bags of kettle corn. It’ll be gone by the end of the week! I’m taking some to my dentist tomorrow. Everyone at the office loves it, and I always remind them to floss! I really enjoy my WhirleyPop, and I especially enjoy blessing others with what I’m able to do. Tie Dye, I hope that gives you a bit of perspective! If you lived near me, I’d just make the popcorn for you, and it would become a non-issue! God’s blessings to you!

    Mine was packaged badly for shipping, just a bunch of air bags at one end of box. It was making a racket as I opened the box. If there was packing inside and around the unit it might save us from hunting down this video to fix it.

    The gears on mine are working fine, but the wires dont seem to be stirring right. Do they need adjusting?

  • @ESASFS
    @ESASFS4 жыл бұрын

    Alex, you may adjust the stir wires by gently bending them. You want the stir wires low enough to move the corn around the pan. You do not want the stir wires to scrape the bottom or sides of the pan. Feel free to reach out to the Warranty Department at 888-314-7733 if you need any additional assistance. We are available Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm EST.
