It's amazing not only that he can squat all that, but how long he holds the weight before squating! Insane strengh

I just got into a gym in march for training and conditioning. My first goal was on self and overall well being. I specifically noted I wasn’t going to competing. I planned to stick with lifting for 3 months… welll… my coach kept bringing up “when you decide to do a meet let me know”. I wouldn’t answer. So eventually I went and checked out my first powerlifting meet. After I said “let’s do this I’m hyped just watching!” First meet is in Dec 4 in Kalispell Montana. I’m so nervous I read the rule book 10 times lol. Thankyou for your personal testimony about powerlifting!

I think Martins is a lot stronger than when he wins 2019. Hopefully WSM 2022 is in his hand once again.

@4:40 “to do what we do, thousands of lbs, something has to be off” I felt that. These are my sentiments exactly. I still remember those days in high school abs my early 20s when I was harshly rejected by women. I still remember those days in my teenage years always getting into fights because people felt like they could fuck with me. I still remember those times when I used to get chewed out by NCOs when I was in the army💯

He’s trying to save his knees. He’s said this many times before. He squats 1,000 lbs all the time. In competition he hits depth and that’s all that matters.
