Balmer wanted to give more room to the finds, so its not cramped as in most arenas. I am down for that. The 2 billion are for other amenities as well that other stadiums do not have.. clean reusable energy, hotel, plenty of parking unlink some venues, shopping areas, etc..... not just seating. but it looks great,

waste of time the governor said no money from the state for the stadium. the bears want a free stadium. the last bears stadium rebuild was a complete failure. the city and state debt on the old stadium is higher than when it was rebuilt. so the stadium has not made any money to pay down the debt of the stadium. the white sox want a new free stadium which they will not get.
