    Camping on the lee side of the hill instead of on the ridge will help with the wind.

    Sure, thanks. But you also need a flat spot. There were many hikers with problems. My mistake was basically to not have checked wind advisory and being to late in the upcoming dark

    You need lite weight shoe rubbers, keep shoes dry during river crossings.

    Yes, but you never knew how deep it will be. I started with Neoprene socks, but later switched to waterproof socks „Randy Sun“ - those worked better
