    There is a "Whatever have the British done for us" video doing the rounds - well worth a watch. Britons have contributed to the modern world far more than an single nation on earth in technology and science. You could also include the modern concept of freedom, liberty and democracy coming from the Magna Carta, English Common Law and the 1689 Bill of Rights - and the long and costly crusade to abolish the slave trade across the globe.

    You gotta remember, Britain ruled the world for a good 150-200 years, they were the most advanced civilisation and had the best technology - the Industrial Revolution started in Britain after all. It’s arguable that Britain shaped the modern world as we know it more than any other nation. A Japanese research paper concluded that 50% (although debatable whether it is this much) of all inventions come from Britain.

    large cars,,,because we dont have public transportation, and often make road trips. Several friends or family means you need a larger car or two of them,,,,,freedom is the name of the game here. If you have no need for a large car, dont buy one. If your family, friends, or large dogs all go along, you will need a large car or pickup. Larger homes and yards we like also. Park the ski boat, pickup, camper, and extra car out back,,,the garage is for the oft used car and bicycles and tools

    She said American squirrels were aggressive, not red ones. None of this is debatable. You are talking nonsense. None of these are in the US.

    No, there are no wild hedgehogs in the US and the British species is not available either. What you have seen are completely different African hedgehogs.

    The primary reason solo cups are used in film and television productions is because they are generic and allow the producers to avoid paying licensing fees for branded products. This cost saving approach has become so prevalent, however, that the cliche is now an easy visual shorthand for a party atmosphere.

    Hey good video but she was right on all of them. Hedgehogs are not wild in America, only as pets. And Row Deer are not in America either. Remember to check credentials of the people you are getting information from because they might be smarter than you. 😉

    Brit here, well dont be to cruel on yourself. I've been to the States many many times and have some really good friends over there-both black and white! colour is not a thing with me. I think a lot of what people dont understand about America, 1st of all is its size. Its a big as all Europe. Secondly, that Americans dont travel outside of America very much and so are in a Bubble. Where as Europeans travel a lot, mainly because we have paid time off and all the different countries are close and easy to get to. 3rd Most Americans haven't even left their state let alone go right across America. Over half dont have passports. The businesses of America run everything, so there is little holiday time let alone paid time off (non existent) bad pay and little or no sickness time off. So most Americans find it very hard to broaden their minds by travel , they are locked into the scenario work work work. So me I am a lot more accommodating about Americans. Maybe more Europeans should travel to America ! I found Americans to be very friendly and honest and accommodating. Personally I love America and Americans, they get a very raw deal from their government and employers and I think a lot of those who answered the questions, should understand that.

    It's so funny, we in England have all modern tech but we don't just presume we made it lol...seems to be a very American thing that you think that you made everything and that you are the best country...the only thing the US is best at is having the most weapons to destroy life with...

    A very interesting response. It tends to underline the growing realisation that most Americans are pretty ignorant that many of the best and brightest minds in many, many fields are from outside their country. A shame, because, contrary to the words of the old saying, ignorance is NOT bliss! 🙂

    Black pudding is called that because the word pudding originally meant a small sausage. The usage of pudding to mean desert is a more modern thing. In Scotland to a fry up we would also have square sausage, potato scone, occasionally haggis and would drop the tomatoes (and usually mushrooms).

    100 percent we have a lot of crossovers and enjoy pancakes and waffles for example, although that's usually more of a brunch thing for us. Same goes for eggs bennedict. We do have the same type of bacon over here, except we call it 'streaky bacon', which it is perfectly acceptable to use in a fry up. Seriously though, try and find some black pudding. Just cook it lightly so that you can spread it on toast. Most people overcook it and it just turns into a dry sponge (As she mentions) It really just needs gently warming through to be enjoyed at it's best.

  • @MatthewXLY

    Oh yes, and she briefly mentioned 'fried bread' when making toast. This is god tier food and I'm ashamed she left it off, although when people order a full english, they usually get asked whether they want fried bread or toast. I _never_ choose toast! You could probably make some right now. Just heat some vegetable or sunflower oil in a pan till it's nice and hot and then using regular, white sandwich bread (The square sliced stuff) fry both sides until golden brown. You will get hooked, i assure you!

    Good video (Brit here). Make a video cooking a full English... But if you're going to do it, if you can, use the ingredients as shown there! I can personally recommend Stornoway black pudding (you'll have to import it anyways so might as well get the good stuff haha), and make sure to get proper butchers pork sausages if you can.

    Do you realize how fast they react for those close catches. It happens so fast. That's why you don't realize what happened. You had to watch the replay in slow motion.

  • @dinkaras1867
    @dinkaras18678 күн бұрын

    One handed catches are less safe and more likely to be dropped. Two handed catches are safer and more technically sound. Reflexes are also important for close catches. If one can't understand what happened in normal speed and need to watch in slower speed to pick up the catch it should automatically be rated high especially if the fielder has has to leap to intersect the ball's trajectory.
