I really appreciated the conversation around 14:00, and how most churches shouldn't use all their digital resources on livestreaming. Website upgrades and social media posts are definitely more cost effective. Thinking about it, if you have a couple thousand dollars to spend, a nice camera with a telephoto lens would almost always be a better investment than a livestream setup that would most likely be putting out low quality video and audio anyway. Like Ryan said, the vast majority of us can't compete with Elevation, and so we should ask what are better and more personal ways for us to engage our neighborhood. Our church chose the first Sunday of each month to not broadcast our livestream, and we have seen an uptick in attendance on those days, and like you mentioned we did send a private link out to those who needed it. Pairing a "no stream" Sunday with a potluck lunch or other church event has also seemed to encourage people to come to church in person. We are still figuring out the best way to navigate online ministry, but I just wanted to affirm your conversation. Thanks

On "the church invite meme trend", as a church plant, I spend a lot of time on our social media presence (I am the Pastor). I think the reason this trend has hit so hard is because lot's of Gen Z in our church have asked me if they can they create these memes. This is awesome for a three reasons; 1. Gen Z are taking more ownership of the churches social media (not just their own) 2. As you pointed out recently, the biggest strength of Reels is the send button and turning a reel into a shared experience and conversation. The Gen Z people inb our church are doing this to a greater or lesser extent to invite others (I suspect they are more likely to send to friends that they see as "on the edge of church" rather than those of different faiths) 3. These memes require real people from our church. People in the church are more likely to engage as they will see themselves and people they know, meaning that i. higher engagement may result in favour with the algorithm and ii. those who aren't part of the church who see it or are sent it will see real life people (not stock images), with a sense of humour, having fun and inviting them to be part of it. Thanks for the great content guys!

Question: How should bilingual churches post on social media? For example, if they have a flyer that’s in both Spanish (or in my case Haitian Creole) and English (2 separate graphics), should they post the graphics separately with their respective captions?
