I found "The Compound Effect" at a second hand book store. I was shocked that such a arrogant, conceited, and competitive braggart couldn't come up with some original content, and had to virtually plagiarize the whole concept and many of the ideas, diagrams, and examples from Jeff Olson's "The Slight Edge." At the end of the book that Hardy has the audacity to finish with a sales pitch, requesting the reader buy five books and give them away to others. He should have asked that five copies of Olson's book get bought and given away in order to help pay for stealing its whole premise and content. I guess "SUCCESS" to Hardy means profiting from others' hard work. I threw his book into the fire...
But he said "there is no secret" and Einstein said it is 8th wonder...so the concept of the book is not new...but he tried to use his own words to make it easier for people to understand... Jeff also did so...but I have found Hardy's one is easier to understand ..

There’s nothing worse than people convinced that what they drive and where they live makes their life a success. I appreciate what Darren teaches...the principles of success. But, suggesting what success looks like in the form of “stuff” is not beneficial to anyone.

That opinion that "I can't make it" is a bullshit.
Good information mixed with some bad information here. My criticism is in his slandering the “secret”, the laws of attraction and vibration are in play everyday, the secret for me was “new hope”, and I started studying and researching new things after I watched that movie more than 10 years ago. Sense then I have increased my income by a multitude of x13 . Furthermore a lot of the ideas he talks about are talked about by Napoleon Hill, who is one of the earliest sources on the law of attraction and success, the only difference is a change of the words used here. Also that thing about Hard, dull, mundane work is wrong. You might have some mundane aspects about your work which you just do or delegate if possible, but the core of your work should be a joy to you, it should be exhilarating and passionate, if it is a bore than you are in the wrong vocation and you are wasting your life, find something you love to do and do that. This does not mean that it won’t be hard sometimes, but it should be a joy. Also you need to open your mind up to possibilities, its not all about working harder and harder, it’s also about working smarter and with more leverage,, use your imagination to find ways to do your work in a more effective manner, while simultaneously with less effort and time (yes that is accurate possible ladies and gentlemen). The key is Leverage, working harder and longer hours will only do so much before you burn out, and you only have 24 hours in a “freaking” day! don’t think in terms of how hard you worked, because the market place does not give shit about how hard you work, the market place responds ONLY to how much value you can provide and deliver to your customers. THINK VALUE. I work less hours now and less hard now than I did when I was earning 13 times less, I did this by USING my MIND ,not running faster and faster, you are not a hamster on a wheel, you are a HUMAN Being, and you have been gifted with the most powerful force in all of creation: your marvelous mind! Use it! A great place to start: read Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and grow” rich and the book 📚 “psycho cybernetics”.

True the methods he mentions here are applied when using the law of attraction. It’s just most people do the visualising part but don’t act out on it due to their limiting beliefs and old mindset. The main part is knowing what you want in life by thinking which is all about your mindset. Everything else is just taking action which is pretty generic advice.
