  Hi Hedley, anyone who works for themselves works long hours, so probably more than I should! No two days are the same! Obviously we have busy periods e.g. breeding, selling, training & racing months when a few hours here & there mount up! So anything from 8 hours up to 12 hours every day! I don't have a day off! But I'm so lucky that my job is also my hobby & it doesn't feel like hard work!

  John isn’t it a great time .. exciting and nervous .. testing babies and pairs that have been bred from.. it’s like every year the passion of racing pigeons is re invigorated when young bird racing starts

  Hello John, great to see them return from the 1st race, plenty to work with next week. Doesn't matter how well bred they are John some just haven't got it when you apply a bit of pressure, stand up or stand down, if the pigeon has the ability & sense that's half the battle. Well done on your result regards Dave.

  Nice to watch them drop in, but nothing beats watching my own drop in back in the day.I would love to relive my combine winners again as the buzz lasted weeks

  The lib site was clear & the weather was pretty good all the way through with just a few early mist patches that cleared through the morning shouldn't have affected our birds, until the last few miles! Where our coastline was covered in a thick mizzle (mist & drizzle) all day!

  Good race dont be to hard on them for 1st race where i go fishing. we regularly have birds stop off for a drink on hot days, the good one's land in the pool, and have quick drink others land round the edge and stop and have peck for half hour and some poor buggers waiting for them😂

  @AngwinFamilyPigeons Hi mate you be surprised what some of them do on the way home😂,I'm just glad they've removed pylons from round by me. The injured and dead pigeon's I use to pick up was horrible
