"Every man gives his life for what he believes. Every woman gives her life for what she believes. Sometimes people believe in little or nothing, and so they give their lives to little or nothing. One life is all we have, and we live it as we believe in living it…and then it’s gone. But to surrender who you are and to live without belief is more terrible than dying - even more terrible than dying young. Joan of Arc"

I think if JBP read Colossians, he would realize there is not a paradox. We 'labor' to be like Christ but not of our own power. The responsibility to be Christ like is not alleviated. Its just we cant do it on our own

Sir while you are not as ill-equipped as the rest of our lovely species you are far from "hyper-intelligent" and are not in any position to give advice to people with the capacity to grapple with problems you haven't even begun to understand let alone understand their capacity to become eventualities... advice. It's ok to be human, it's ok to not be the smartest lifeform on the block but for the love of bob stop trying to speak as though you are the best our species has to offer... not all of us are blind to more than 2ft in front of us. If you were truly hyper intellectual you would be smart enough to know there's nothing you can do but sit in the rain too.

We are not always responsible for our own lifes. Meaning... There are a lot of interactions in life that make us not be able to be happy. And, sometimes, others are directly or indirectly responsible for our own unhappiness. It doesn't mean that we have to blame the other, but recognize that and make something about it.

Interesting thing is that communism and Islam are polar opposites of the same ideology-rejection of Yshua. I was thinking that the war that brought about the tribulation and the rise of the devil would be communism vs Islam, but the communist nations are dying. China in particular is dying out. So it’s just going to be a war of Islam spilling blood to bring it around. I want NO PART OF IT!

JP is correct in that compassion is very appealing to most people...socialism on the surface appeals to this sense of compassion...but socialism just simply knocks the wind out of one's sails, b/c people are also very self-interested...that's sounds like I just said people are "selfish"...would "enlightened self-intetest" be a better way to put it?...for example, the waiter/waitress busting their hump probably is doing it for the tip primarily and maybe to serve your interest secondarily...I personally have no problem with that...every one gets what they want...if their motive is maximum tip for themselves, so be it...I still get maximum service...to me it seems that human nature is selfish but also altruistic...and let's also face the fact that life is often hard and difficult...to make progress, hard and difficult things must be done...and as humans we are motivated to do hard things with incentives...hell, all incentives aren't always monetary...people will do difficult things for notoriety...I'm still fine with that, b/c they still create value that improves my life...is any of this making any sense?...well, maybe to anyone except a socialist.

I’ll make this simple. Maybe there’s a God but it doesn’t matter. There is trauma, starvation, war, etc. Clearly God is allowing this. But as Stephen Fry points out, most people want to be good. So work with that. Build on that. Promote Good.

It's tough, getting an all-round education, huh? Isn't that just, dandy! My first point, was how today's kids are alsomatically parasite. Intrinsically parasite and removed, from any spiritual type of lesson, such as being full of life, alsomatically. A regular reversal of... Flavor?... I believe, that they believe, that it is easier to get around, today. Easier than, yesterday. So, why don't they? I will bet, that they will continue to discourage allotments of fellows saying, anything about overpopulation as, if they were to blame the people, for their own lobotomies.. they would lose their fan base. Oh, so dim. No. What was this, what you were going on about? This slant of neo classism? No. It doesn't matter. The overpopulation has indeed, lobotomized itself; said and done. None of the "classes" are safe. These (people/fellows/students/programmers) are merely the residuals of hunger and jealousy. Big, hefty, stuffed with fluff and spots and plaids and things, in the face of a boredom so distraught, it were to make a two year old anxious. Gone... _"Up, up! and away.. in my beautiful, my beautiful balloon...."_ Is a rock bottom type of song, these guys don't possess. And not that I am trying to make incurs, about if anybody actually ever, actually "possessed" a song... La la, La la, La la.. La la, La la, La la.. La la, La la, La la.. La la, La la, La la..

This is actually terrifying! Teaching ur child to get his ego to suppress any emotions that are overwhelming, rather than teach them to recognise what emotion they are feeling and why they are feeling it. From personal experience, that leads to BPD, severe dissociation and PTSD as you are denying their true self and implanting a new identity

Hetero normative people have to work and keep everyone else in comfort , especially Roman Catholic church which is full of unemployed people who do not contribute to society at all. Protestant church changed a lot of things in religion and opened up. A lot of oppressive cults died in history of mankind and only things which are able to change survived.

I have had my own schism recently after becoming a neo pagan. (Was a pagan), now i am a protestant against main stream Christians, yahshua is the son of God not jesus. Jesus was a man who wanted to gain power in the middle ages, he is the stereotype Jesus picture, the rapturist love To say The rapture is happening in our time, they have Been saying this for a long time, they only gain power in the 1800s, you rapturist are closeted nihilism the devil is using you to use excessive man made legalism, you love to use Leviticus and if you wish to use it you should also be cool with child marriages, that is Jewish law and we are no longer expected to follow it and i can condem you for sexual immorality. The devil had manipulated me with the truth and he manipulated you with legalism ( lying by using the old covenant)

The sacrifice of Jesus takes away the eternal judgement of God from those who believe and trust Jesus.. It does not take away the call on followers of Jesus to live better lives or take on suffering in this world.. Jesus takes away eternal suffering not the suffering we experience in this life.. Also if one believes in the teachings of Jesus ( which include the moral laws of the Old testament ) one should naturally try their best to live out those teachings and Laws.. We demonstrate that we actually believe in the teachings of Jesus by trying to carry them out within our lives on earth.. If we never try to be better Christians we show ourselves to be fakes..
