Love “it’s happening for me, not to me”. Reframing anything in a positive light so helps me process things in productively too. That said, sending big hugs re the ongoing processing and feelings of loneliness as know that’s tough. And takes a lot of energy to change elements of your life that have been constants for so long. Also, very excited for ju-jitsu and your new Mac Pro - what’s the website called again? - And for your new production company! Look forward to hearing about your next steps 🎉🎉🎉

Your description of catastrophising is exactly how my brain works. I want to do the Aya ceremony, but I have COPD so i can't be near incense, candles, or smoke. Have you seen the movie "The Spirit Molecule"? Amazing. I am very encouraged by your journey. I hope to get to that point that you said at the end.... "I'm free."
@MatthewBarsby2 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that you have COPD, the smoke and incense is a big part of the ceremony, so maybe you could look into other psychedelic treatments that don't involve this ceremonial aspect? I can't speak from experience as I've only done traditional ayahuasca ceremony but I'm sure there are other routes that don't involve smoke and incense.

Psychedelics killed my drug and alcohol dependencies - one trip two years ago to purge my depression and chronic anxiety from my system was the best decision I ever made. I've done Psilocybin mushrooms a few times since, but after my last high dose trip I realized that the medicine has taught me enough for now. I might return to psychedelics later in my life if I find a source.

Awesome video man, thank you for sharing your story. I'm so glad it worked for you! I've been dealing with severe anxiety, and I've tried just about everything to no avail. I've been feeling called to do psychedelics to heal it. But the paradox is that I keep stopping myself from pulling the trigger BECAUSE of my anxiety. I'm terrified of the trip. I'm scared of what could happen, what could go wrong. What if I have a bad trip and come out traumatized? What if I go into psychosis? You know how those anxious thoughts carry you away... Do you have any advice for me? Much love.

Sorry to hear you're struggling dude. The only thing I will say is look into Rythmia. It's expensive but I specifically went there as it seemed like the safest place to do it. Apparently they're the only medically licensed Ayahuasca retreat in the world, and as I mentioned in the video, it's so much more than just the plant medicine. I was really worried and anxious before I went, and while the work is really hard, I was totally supported throughout my journey.
