With all love and respect, it would be very helpful to study the videos from " Theocast " on you tube since they have come from a non reformed background which I believe is similar to you view. What I have heard in the first 5 minutes is a misrepresentation of the calvinist position on mans ability to choose. "No man is excluded from calling upon God, the gate of salvation is set open unto all men: neither is there any other thing which keepeth us back from entering in, save only our own unbelief." Great sermon. Clearly lays out the evils of calvinism.

You have no understanding of the will. No one you call a Calvinist would say you don't have a will. If you want to think you have a free will in the sense that you feel like you are free to sin when, where, and how you want then I guess that's your right. But you don't. Your will is bound to your sinfulness until you are saved and then your will is bound to God and you seek for the things above and you want to please Him. The ability to believe is a gift of God by grace through faith and you seem to want to glorify man instead of God. If you want to debate the subject then invite a scholar in to discuss it, but instead you choose to spout your biases to your congregation. I can only assume your reasons are valid in your opinion, but it is your opinion.

God's Sovereign Choosing ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;“ Deuteronomy 4:37 [NASB1995] Because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their descendants after them. And He personally brought you from Egypt by His great power, Deuteronomy 7:6-8 [NASB1995] For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. “The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Deuteronomy 10:15 [NASB1995] Yet on your fathers did the Lord set His affection to love them, and He chose their descendants after them, even you above all peoples, as it is this day. 2 Samuel 6:21 [NASB1995] So David said to Michal, “ It was before the Lord , who chose me above your father and above all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord , over Israel; therefore I will celebrate before the Lord . ‭‭Job‬ ‭23‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”But He is unique and who can turn Him? And what His soul desires, that He does. For He performs what is appointed for me, And many such decrees are with Him.“ Psalms 78:65‭-‬70 [NASB1995] Then the Lord awoke as if from sleep, Like a warrior overcome by wine. He drove His adversaries backward; He put on them an everlasting reproach. He also rejected the tent of Joseph, And did not choose the tribe of Ephraim, But chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which He loved. And He built His sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which He has founded forever. He also chose David His servant And took him from the sheepfolds; ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭89‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”“I have made a covenant with My chosen; I have sworn to David My servant,“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭8‬-9 ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”“But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, Descendant of Abraham My friend, You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its remotest parts And said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you.“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭10‬ ‭NASB1995 ”“You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.“ ‬‬ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NASB1995 ”“But now listen, O Jacob, My servant, And Israel, whom I have chosen: Thus says the Lord who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you, ‘Do not fear, O Jacob My servant; And you Jeshurun whom I have chosen.“ **Note: Jeshurun is another name for Israel** ‬‬ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45‬:‭4‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”For the sake of Jacob My servant, And Israel My chosen one, I have also called you by your name; I have given you a title of honor Though you have not known Me.“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65‬:‭9‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, And an heir of My mountains from Judah; Even My chosen ones shall inherit it, And My servants will dwell there.“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65‬:‭22‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”They will not build and another inhabit, They will not plant and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people, And My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands.“ Nehemiah 9:7 [NASB1995] You are the Lord God, Who chose Abram And brought him out from Ur of the Chaldees, And gave him the name Abraham. Malachi 1:2‭-‬3 [NASB1995] “I have loved you,” says the Lord . But you say, “How have You loved us?” “ Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord . “Yet I have loved Jacob; but I have hated Esau, and I have made his mountains a desolation and appointed his inheritance for the jackals of the wilderness.” Mark 13:20 [NASB1995] Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days. John 6:44 [NASB1995] No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. ‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.“ ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭39‬ ‭ESV‬‬ ”For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:5-‭8 [‭NASB1995] “In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace. What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened; ”just as it is written, “God gave them a spirit of stupor, Eyes to see not and ears to hear not, Down to this very day.” ‬‬ Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ [‭NASB1995] “From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” ‭‭‬‬ ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭ESV ”But when he [God the Father] who had set me [The Apostle Paul] apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone;“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NASB1995 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭19‬ ‭ESV ”But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”“ ‬‬ ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬ ”Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.“

Perseverance of the Saints: Romans 8:29-30 [ESV] For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬-‭22‬ [‭NASB1995‬‬] ”Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭30‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭44‬, ‭63‬, ‭65‬ ‭NASB1995 “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. ‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭24‬-‭29‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “The Jews then gathered around Him, and were saying to Him, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me. But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” ‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭2‬, ‭6‬, ‭9‬, ‭11‬-‭12‬, ‭24‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours; I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are. While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭97‬:‭10‬ ‭NASB1995 ”Hate evil, you who love the Lord, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.“ ‬‬ ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭19‬ ‭ESV ”But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

Irresistible Grace: ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭26‬-‭29‬ ‭NASB1995 “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you.” ‬‬ John‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭8‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus *said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”” ‭‭ ‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭37‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.” ‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭44‬, ‭63‬, ‭65‬ ‭NASB1995 “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. ‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭63‬ ‭NASB1995 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. ‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭‭65‬ ‭NASB1995 And He was saying, “For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.”” ‬‬ ‭‭Acts‬ ‭16‬:‭14‬ ‭NASB1995 “A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul.” ‬‬ 1 Corinthians 2:14 [ESV] The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB1995 “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.” ‬‬ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ [‭NASB1995‬‬] ”For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NASB1995 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” ‬‬ ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NASB1995 “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” ‬‬ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭25‬ ‭NASB1995 ”“I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.“

Limited Atonement/ Definite Redemption: ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”” John 6:44 [ESV] No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. ‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭11‬, ‭15‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ““I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.” ‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭24‬-‭29‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “The Jews then gathered around Him, and were saying to Him, “How long will You keep us in suspense? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.” ‬‬ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭25‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,“ ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭15‬, ‭28‬ ‭NASB1995 “For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.” ‬‬ ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV “who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”

Unconditional Election: ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭39‬ ‭ESV‬‬ ”For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”“ Acts 13:48 [ESV] And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. Ephesians 1:4‭-‬5 [NASB1995] just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, ‭‭Titus‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”Paul, a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness, in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago,“ 1 Peter 2:9 [ESV] But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.“ ‭‭ Mark 13:20 [ESV] And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days. Matthew 22:14 [ESV] For many are called, but few are chosen.” Romans 8:29-30 [ESV] For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. Romans 9:6‭-‬29 [ESV] But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring. For this is what the promise said: “About this time next year I will return, and Sarah shall have a son.” And not only so, but also when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac, though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad-in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls- she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.” What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God’s part? By no means! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?” But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory- even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles? As indeed he says in Hosea, “Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,’ and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’” “And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’” And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved, for the Lord will carry out his sentence upon the earth fully and without delay.” And as Isaiah predicted, “If the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring, we would have been like Sodom and become like Gomorrah.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45‬:‭9‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”“Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker- An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth! Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭7‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened;” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬ ‭NASB1995 ”But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased“ ‬‬ John 6:44 [ESV] No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. ‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭1‬-‭21‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You, even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do. Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You; for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me. I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours; and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are. While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled. But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.“ 2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NASB1995 “But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.” ‭‭‬‬ ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ NASB1995 ”Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;“ ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭65‬:‭4‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You To dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.“

Total Depravity: Genesis 6:5 [ESV] The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭8‬:‭21‬ ‭NASB1995 ”The Lord said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth;” ‭‭Job‬ ‭15‬:‭14‬ ‭NASB1995 ”What is man, that he should be pure, Or he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?“ ‬‬ Psalm 14:1‭-‬3 [ESV] The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭5‬ ‭NASB1995 ”Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.“ ‬‬ ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭53‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ “The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God,” They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice; There is no one who does good. God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there is anyone who understands, Who seeks after God. Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭58‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB1995 ”The wicked are estranged from the womb; These who speak lies go astray from birth.“ ‬‬ Ecclesiastes 8:11 [ESV] Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil. ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭9‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”...Furthermore, the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil and insanity is in their hearts throughout their lives. Afterwards they go to the dead.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NASB1995 ”This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.“ ‬‬ John 6:63 [NASB1995] It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭ 2:16 ‭ESV ”For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” ”And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”- these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.“ 1 Corinthians 2:14 [ESV] The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. Romans 3:10‭-‬18 [ESV] as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” “Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:23 [NASB1995] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭NASB1995 ”For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.“ ‬‬ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭1 ”And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.“ ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭NASB1995 ”And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,“ ‬‬ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.“ ‭‭Mark‬ ‭7‬:‭20‬-‭23‬ ‭NASB1995 ”And He was saying, “That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.”“ ‬‬ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭27‬ ‭NASB1995 ”Your first forefather sinned, And your spokesmen have transgressed against Me.“ ‬‬ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ ”But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.“ ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭9‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ”“The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?“

Calvinism total depravity is nonsense, and all the other points stemming from it create a false gospel of nonsense for a false god. calvinist have no answer or they try deceitful techniques like switching the topic, changing the definition words, or making excuses like God's Bible has errors because their false doctrine crumbles under the authority of truth According to your false doctrine of total depravity, a person can't discern anything about God nor turn to God without a magical awakening. Here are examples that must be twisted in order for calvinism to be true. Example 1. So Pharaoh was a "spiritually dead man" who God hardened to make even more dead??? Why make a dead man more dead???... (Hint it's not a mystery of God, it's lunacy). The cognitive dissonance to accept such doctrine is mind-blowing and reminds me of the liberal left logic. I ask liberals how to make gun free zones more free because shootings still happen in gun free zones, and they can't answer. The cognitive dissonance displayed is a common trait between liberals and calvinist. The conundrum is simply dismissed as a mystery, instead of using the critical thinking skills bestowed on us by our creator to understand the logical fallacy. Example 2. 2 Timothy 2:10-12 - And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Did you read that? unsaved "spiritually dead men", who according to the false doctrine of calvinism can only do evil, must be made even more dead so they can believe a lie. Example 3. Romans 2:14: "When Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law." This verse goes against total depravity because their nature is doing the law. Total depravity says their nature can only do wickedness all the time. Example 4. A spiritually dead, totally depraved man without the Holy Spirit was devout, prayed continually, and gave alms before he received the Holy Spirit?!?! That debunks calvinism total depravity right there. Example 5. The same goes for lydia, a God-fearing woman going to a prayer meeting on a sabbath without the Holy Spirit?!? Yet another one debunking totally depravity. Example 6 The question was asked 1 time to the Paul and Silas in Acts 16... "What must I do to be saved?" This question puts responsibility on the individual by saying,"What must I do. " They answered by saying, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." If the disciples were calvinist they would have said, "You can do nothing because of your spiritual deadness known as total depravity." 1 Corinthians 1:21 "...it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE." In summary, it's man's responsibility to believe or reject, and God will save those that believe. Example 7 Luke 16:28-31 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be PERSUADED, though one rose from the dead Persuaded???... if calvinism total depravity is true, they would not have used this word. Abraham would have said, "Nobody needs to be sent because God chooses who to save and who He damns," but he didn't say that because calvinism total depravity is not scriptural. I have heard calvinist say God's Bible has errors.

Brother it pains me to hear your understanding of Calvinist Doctrine. 1st The majority of Calvinist are not determinist. Furthermore, to associate secular determinist paradigms with that of Calvinism by equating all determinism as being similar is a gross misunderstanding of Bible based doctrines with secular perceived knowledge. It would be equally unfair to equate brothers of the faith who hold to free will beliefs with those who purport humanistic and secularistic free will to the point of hedonism. Additionally, faith does not always warrant a 50/50 probability in assurance, for example we can have faith that the sun will rise tomorrow because of how often we have experienced it in the past which builds our assurance beyond the 50/50 probability. Also, why is it beyond the realm of possibility for God to give a person the gift of faith? And how do you equate such a notion as blasphemous? Is it beyond the power and capability of God to instill faith within the believer? Let us now address the misconception that is understood by non-Calvinist as it pertains to the anthropology of man as it relates to original sin, total depravity, and free will. In the case of original sin, we believe that Adam’s one sin was the catalyst that changed the entire dynamics of the world both naturally and spiritually. Within the natural sense, delayed physical death and decay resulted. Within the spiritual sense, immediate spiritual death occurred that was also imputed toward all humans that came through the seed of Adam (Romans 5). Thus sin and condemnation was inherited by all people born through Adam’s seed. This understanding refutes any argumentation that should suggest the condition of fallen man is neutral to the things of the spirit. This new reality, after the fall of humanity, was allowed by God and the state of its corruption was foreknown by God before it transpired. Thus the foreknowledge of God is intertwined with His decree. For what God allows to happen is based on what He first decreed how the Universe would function based on His parameters. Within these parameters include the corrupted nature of man after they rebelled against God and the extent to which the natural state of man is to be corrupted. The Scripture attest to the corruption being described as the inability for man to know God because man became dead spiritually in their transgression. This depravity can only be overridden by the work of God making the spirit within the man alive again. Thus, the depraved man does not have any ability in and of himself to choose God. On the contrary, God is the only one with the ability to graciously choose. Only the Spirit of God can give life to a spiritually dead sinner, John 6: 63 states, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.” The natural man is considered a child of wrath due to his deprave/corrupt state. Through God’s mercy we have received extraordinary gifts. The gift of grace and the gift of faith which are not of our own doing. The Holy Spirit softens our heart and points us to Christ and moves us to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. We are awakened spiritually and are moved to desire God and be obedient to His Will. Just like Lazarus had to be called out of the tomb by God and he had no other choice but to come forward when God called him. God also calls His chosen in we have no other choice than to arise from the dead and come forth. God’s grace is indeed irresistible. But it requires God to do the calling. Jesus said Himself, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day” (John 6:44). This is a guarantee, and later He states, “and I give eternal life to them [Jesus’ Sheep], and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand” (John‬ ‭10‬:‭28‬). God has elected a particular people to be His workmanship because all the work is done by Him. When Christ talked about being born again, this again requires a work from God. Just like we had no say in our first birth, we also have no say in our second birth. John‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ”Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” The flesh cannot understand the Spirit, “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14). This concept leads to the next category of anthropology as it relates to the will of man. Non-Calvinist tend to avail the straw man fallacy in their attempt of refutation against the Reform teaching of election by suggesting that the Calvinist does not believe humans possess a free will. This is not the case, Calvinist due believe that man has agency in choosing the routine things of life, yet the will is more associated with the moral ability of man. Adam and Eve had free will in its purest sense because they were not fallen creatures and their moral ability was not tainted prior to the fall. After the fall, humans are spiritually dead and make decisions based on the sinful nature of the flesh. Therefore to choose something is based on the strongest inclination that a person possesses; which the flesh’s strongest inclination is to fulfill its desires and pleasures. Thus making man corrupt to the core. That is why we have a heart of stone and we are considered to be in enmity toward God. Since we are dead in our trespasses with the inability to choose God in and of ourselves, we need a supernatural insertion from God, i.e. the Holy Spirit, who quickens us to Christ Jesus. Therefore, we do not choose God because we have no ability to do so which means God chooses His elect. The Calvinist does not believe that humans are mere robots. The Calvinist does in fact believe that a person can choose even the mundane things of life such as what tie to wear with his suit by way of his agency. However, the will (which is tied to morality) is in bondage to the sinful flesh. Thus, a fallen sinner will always desire to please the flesh and as a result the fallen sinner is hostile to God. Without God changing the heart, we will always not only choose to sin, but cleave to our sin because we love our sin. So as we get down to the granular argument, we must distinguish between the agency of a person and the will of a person. Is the human will truly free? The answer is: not necessarily so, because the will of man is in bondage to either the flesh or to Christ. Therefore the will isn’t free, but humans have the agency to choose certain things in life, just not God. So often Some Non-Calvinist would describe the Calvinist understanding of the natural human as it relates to original sin, total depravity, and free will with that which is analogous to being born with a certain genetic trait such as one’s eye color and being condemned due to one’s genetic makeup. This is to say that a person cannot help being totally depraved if God decreed it just like the person with a particular eye color cannot be blamed for their genetic code. They further conclude that God cannot hold this inability against them. I would say it is more analogous to the innate behaviors of the meat eating animal. For prior to the fall, they were peaceful creatures that did not desire blood. But due to the corruption of the fall, they now have a gluttonous appetite for blood. In the same way, the desire of the human-will is to sinfully please the flesh. For every single person stands condemned and God can choose who He wants to pardon according to the counsel of His own will; and passover others, leaving them in their depravity and allowing them to have adoration for their sins. In other words God gives the reprobate over to the lusts of their hearts to impurity; to degrading passions; and to a depraved mind. Does this make God unjust, by no means. The Apostle Paul makes this assertion in Romans 9:14-15, ”What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! For He says to Moses, ‘I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.’” In a prison, every prisoner is deserving of his/her punishment due to the crimes they committed. Yet if the president of the United States, with all of his sovereignty, enters into that prison and pardons some without condition, nobody would claim his sovereign actions of pardoning would be an act of injustice. Is not God more sovereign than the president? Even if you look at the differences between the people groups such as the Moabites, the Edomites, and the other surrounding countries around the Israelites; they were unable to come to an understanding of God in and of themselves because of their depravity. It takes God to reveal Himself, not only visibly but in the hearts of men also.
