    A much older definition of the word Hero: An individual who has inflicted a great amount of suffering upon others, yet has also revived great suffering upon themselves. Aeneas, Achilles, Hector, Odysseus, Hercules. None of these Hero's were ever only in the moral right or wrong, they killed innocents, fought pointless wars, suffered, grieved, died. Such is the way of all heroes in the olden days.

    I meeeeaaannnn, at a stretch some of them are right, but in my opinion they just reflect their views on life. Just because you are pessimistic doesn't mean you are always right, and I guess same goes for optomisim. I guess what im saying is taking some of their viewpoints is pretty grim, and to be in a healthy headspace it is good to be optomistic at least some of the time - otherwise what is there to look forward too in life. if you honestly beleive someone who is down on life, thinking the world has gone to crap is in a better headspace you are delusional. Plus if you are in a better headspace, high on life and constantly beleive in the world, and see the beuty in every grim moment you are able to turn things around more often, so that maybe the pessimist may be right initially, but in the end your willpower and vision for what COULD be will prevail and turn into a what WILL be. How do you think sports players on underdog teams that have won approach the match? all "we are screwed" and we have no chance, it is inevitable" or "what if we did this and that to slow them down and get us the win"?

    Oogway should have known Tai's just not the chosen one. Simple as that! Why put someone through intensive training, give him hopes and dreams, only to tell him later that he wasn't ideal for it. That was the masters' biggest flaw. I support Tai. Every. Fucking. Time. It's like promising you son he'll be the CEO of an engineering firm, making him go through all training and studies for years, and later making him rear cattle's at a countryside. Only to later employ someone to take that position your son paid the price for, with all his life. So painful!😢

    I never got Thanos’ thinking. Death is final bc if he just doubled resources it would disappear in awhile. Not by over consumption but ctlr alt delete disappear. But if everything is halved that gives the same problem. A village of 100 people & a deer population of 100 are now both 50. Same problem.

    "Life is not fair" used that way is a misunderstanding of the word fair. Fariness and justice refer only to the interactions between people, of human actions, not of scenarios per se. So life is unfair only as long as people are. Being born from a disadvantage point is not an act of fairness or unfairness, because it's not like there's a person being unfair to you.

  • @superbrain7852
    @superbrain78528 күн бұрын

    I mean... No? No idea where you have all of this from, but the definition of fair is "fair1 /fɛː/ adjective adjective: fair; comparative adjective: fairer; superlative adjective: fairest 1. impartial and just, without favouritism or discrimination." Life isn't just. You said it yourself, not everyone has the same chances. Theres no part of fair that says it only refers to people's action specifically, and if there would be it wouldn't make sense. It is fully according to the common definition of fairness, I dont know where you took yours from and I dont know why you would invent it in the first place, why limit it to peoples actions?

  • @superbrain7852

    Which might apply to one or two cases, but not to any sort of majority. A lot of Protagonists change the system, and a lot of villains try to stop the change. In a lot of the cases, the villains might want to change something that really does not need changing. This sounds like its some sort of quote, but that doesn't make it make sense.

    There actually is good and evil though. Love and truth are what there is more to than just power. I do not agree with the harry potter villan. I agree with spiderman and Lord of the rings. "With great power comes great responsibility" and " All that we have to do is to choose what to do with the time that is given to us."

  • @superbrain7852
    @superbrain78528 күн бұрын

    There is absolutely no good and evil... Love and truth dont have anything to do with either whatsoever. Both love and truth can literally be evil. Why would you think that? Both of these other quotes also have as much to do with good and evil as love and truth... Yeah, obviously both are true, they really aren't that complicated, what does any of this have to do with the question of good and evil?

Only growing… 4 all time…. …and then some.

  • @superbrain7852
    @superbrain78528 күн бұрын

    @@Dr_suter Thats a big matter of opinion. Its a pretty popular take, the “child cancer” point against god. Since God is all powerful he could stop it, the reason he isnt is because he isnt all good. If he was all good, he therefore couldn't be all powerful. The only reason YOU believe that to be possible is by believing in god in the first place, justifying his actions by saying he works in mysterious ways, and that him not stopping it isn't objectively wrong because he's god. I dont believe in God, and I dont have to justify him by saying he works in mysterious ways. Thus I can simply apply my moral consensus, and say he is not all good as he is doing a lot of bad, or at least letting it happen.

    @@superbrain7852 Wow! That’s amazing…use of a strawman. Using an argument I didn’t make then refuting it to sound smarter. I just love when atheist do this, I believe the argument you strawmanned is actually a super weak argument. There’s the soul-making theodicy, the free will defense, greater good argument, mysterious plan (this is the one you used, imo the weakest of the bunch), redemptive suffering argument, natural law argument (another weak one, but I like to use this one in combination with a couple others) but I’m sure you need me to go into detail on each of them because most Christian’s you argue with re-use what there pastor told them and don’t go and research, I align heavily with the Presbyterian view in intelligence, but I also follow different denominations teachings. The reason this matter is because I believe God gave me a brain to use to learn more about him (hence my need to learn every defense against bad atheists arguments) love ya, God bless 🫶🫶🙏
