Hi!
I'm a Sound Designer, Composer and Developper for Video Games. I'm the co founder of Concrete Games studio.
I currently work on different projects, but mainly on Playhear: Square Paper City, an album playable as a game, and I'm more and more making videos about audio technologies I like.

the not previewed delay is awsome 🙂, and in general great work! btw I feel you so much, and the public was awsome! it happened to me too, playing a gig back in 2008 in a very important and famous venue in Berlin, not even 5 mins into the gig , full computer crash, luckily I had a drum machine... c u on discord
@@NuovaCulturaPopolare thanks! Which Discord? 🙂
@@TOMAvatars UE audio and connected ;-)
no midi no perfection.
🔥WOW!🔥 Gotta have this beast! Got Maschine3, Atlas2 and Virtual Drummer already....but this sounds like the real fun.🤩 Bang in the cart! 🔥🤟🏽
It is! So much fun and very very effective. I also think they'll keep it updated with new engines.
@@TOMAvatars Great to hear! I'll purchase in a few hours. 🤩
@@TOMAvatars Bought it this morning and got addicted! It's fantastic, although i miss a MIDI output and drag&drop which is absolutely common in other devices. I hope they'll upgrade these functions later. The sound is bombastic and easy assignable audio outputs. Great tool, and your clip was convincing. 😎💯
@@MolinMollas super cool! There are some drag and drop options, like your can copy an engine to another like this, same with sample and sequences. Have fun!
@@TOMAvatars oh cool, i haven't spent that much time to the manual, but surely have to although it's pretty intuitive to handle. Edit: forgot to say that Unfiltered Audio are celebrating and I got their LION synth for free with Battalion. 👌🏾
So much negativity. These are the sounds of real underground techno and industrial. I think there’s a goldmine of experimental perc and effect sounds to supplement more traditional TR sounds. There’s thousands of sounds you could sample and experiment with from this jam. Open your minds.
Thank you for your support and your positivity ❤️
@@TOMAvatars No worries
🔥
Well, it sucked. See you later.
or is it just drag and drop 🤕
btw , i notced that you are bouncing audio from battalion ,(im in aleton for a while (2004)but i dont have freezing in my workflow(yet)(i m using rolling sampler for that)...please man save me from googling and YT 😁.and make one Serbian faaster
Yeah, I'm freezing the track, then just drag the freezed item on an audio track. I like Ableton but Bitwig for bouncing is way better.
@@TOMAvatars i agree bitwig wise,i have it...but workflow friction in bitwig(i even got touchscreen(not one) hoping for an ipad like experience) and ableton muscle memory is winning 😁(...and now generative midi in ableton)
@@basiclick yeah, midi tools is why I updated
dream drum machine.. it s cpu hog on my i7 8th gen surface book..but ,its one machine for all my studio glitchin, alongside turnado and infiltrator 😁
fun...3d node based sequencer!
Yeah!! I'm planning (wishing) to add two game modes: a kind of roguelike shooter with pre made algorithmic compositions I'll make (and revealed during gameplay by the player) and a free party mode, for the player to compose and record as they wish.
@@TOMAvatars that's really fun an option for people do design levels or have guest designers could be really cool too
@@0e0 perhaps, after I work on the base 🙂
Lol the demo really doesn't do the plugin a favor... awful
DO BETTER
A friend has a huge load of modular equipment and this unit sounds like those screamin little boxes.❤ It's a brillant tool for experimental sounds and the content of this video may be raw, but it's real. 🫡 Im sure there are also more charming sounds inside.
Cool. Looks like it has some synthesis depth. All too rare in drum machines. Im interested to hear it at home and have a play of the demo
Can it sound usable??? At all 😤
Are you angry? Why are you angry?
Guess that's why we're here listening to this.. I can think of a few ways this could be useful to me after listening to it.
@@TOMAvatars It's just what it is, sorry man but your demo is awful
@@Strepite just make better in one hour then. Video editing comprised.
The difference between being a DJ, and going on stage and playing some songs 👍
Well, there's already a difference between being a DJ and a live performer playing instruments, might they be electronic or acoustic.
DO PEOPLE want all this randomization stuff? I wouldn't cite "random" as a defining feature of rhythm and percussion...
What ? So for you rhythm and percussion shall always sound and groove the same? Weird...
@@TOMAvatarsI think they are just saying they want to build beats themselves. Which you can do anyway in this instrument. Everyone wins ;)
@@Interstellore yeah! I wonder why people are angry like this. I mean, they can work as they want to work and get great results. Why do they even bother to comment?...
@@TOMAvatars you confuse discussion and criticism with “anger”
@@quantum_ocean I'm not taking about your comment especially. But a lot of other comments here looks "angry" and doesn't look like discussion at all, and neither constructive critics.
This is awesome
Thanks!
Looks like fun. Newby question, is this standalone or do you need something else a priori?
It's a plugin. Vst/Au, so you need a daw or a host to load it.
No explica nada y demasiados compases sonando ritmos bastantes desagradables.
Does this buffer your daw when you bypass it? All unfiltered audio plugins do this and I HATE it
Nope. It doesn't receive any signal so no need to buffer.
It's rather complex. Still really awesome at the same time. Take a while to learn how to use it to your own satisfaction.
As a fan of skiffle and bluegrass, I don't think I'll be purchasing this product. Nice colour schemes though and could be useful for an ambient-jungle side project I'm working on.
How did your video manage to attract 80% arseholes in the comments 😂 i fuck with it, gonna get the demo shortly
Not for me I'm afraid.
😂😂😂
looks cool! do you know if theres a demo to play around with? i havent found one... and thanks for review, much appreciated!
I don't think there's a demo. Perhaps on the plugin alliance website?
I am baffled by the love for that sound, but not judging.
⚡🔥⚡
Awesome video on a great synth. Thanks! *thumbs up*
Gotta buy it only for Greeks presets name. Great showcase:-)
😀 Thanks!
great presets!!! and a good introduction!
So, the resynthesis engine can’t reproduce percussive samples then, if it could not handle the Amen break?
It can, but it'll sound different. Sumu will be similar in a way, but don't think that any plugin yet will be able to fully reproduce the sample. Btw, it would not be very interesting. Both Myth and Sumu has their own ways to handle this, and both are very very very interesting.
First time I don’t like unfiltered audio😩
Really??? What's you're reason?
I look forward to the ios version.
I think it'd be perhaps too heavy on resources for ios but I can be wrong
You ARE wrong 🤓
This video doesn’t do the plugin any justice. Sorry.
Hopefully you will do it justice with the amount of creativity that emanates from your comment.
I like it. As for what justice it does I can't argue because I've never owned this plugin. But I do like this jam. Some very cool sounds from this thing..
Amateurish sound
Amateurish comment.
@@TOMAvatarsand you obviously think your demo is impressive lol My washing machine sounds better than this plugin
@@jeromejamies3641 man you are just rude. You might be sad and lost in life. I don't care how my video sounds, I didn't made it to impress anyone, but to show how it works. Now, if you think that I'm in turn impressed by your comment, you're fool. I'm proud of what I'm making in my life creatively and I moderately live of it. I make a ton of interesting stuff. And you, boring guy with such a boring life that you can't help being nasty on internet, which interesting experiences are you making? Any music? Any sound design for interesting brands? Any shows? Any teaching? Any video games? I do all of these.
@@TOMAvatars I simply use my ears and it sounds terrible. You are obviously trying to transfer your sad life to someone who critisizes a weak product that you have not even developed. That's really poor, can hear your sadness in every of your sentences and in your demo. Keeping on crying if it makes you feel better
@@jeromejamies3641 What's make my really sad is people like you: with not any empathy nor taste.
Nah. I don't like it at all. It's tries convulsively to be crazy. Sound simply not good.
That's because I haven't worked any of the sound. I recorded the video like in less than half an hour...
On first view, this VST appears to give the user a genuine way of obtaining 'The Prodigy' sound without the need for extra components! That cant be bad!
Haha good point!!!
@@TOMAvatars Thank you. I wonder if there will be any Prodigy Presets added in the future?
@@djGreenALERT I don't think so. They're not in the sound design/preset game. But I'll do my best to make some!
@@TOMAvatars That would be great . The only way I have been able to do it until now is with Ohmicide, and that thing is very temperamental.

Master.
You are 🙂
This is a service to humanity
Haha thanks!
There's no reason why this should be possible but I'm glad it is.
i mean its VERY DISTICTIVE. every sound you create has that reverby, grainular sound.
True. But it sound different as well, depends how you tweak it.
this is great and hope for happy accidents....just make a small loop in a daw....and start experimenting
Excellent !
bro do you know how many times i checked the website for synplant 2 LMAO. LETS GOOOO
Very excited.. "samples are limited to 2 seconds"... still quite excited.
Actually, this limit is not a problem. I mean, it's a synth, it's not a sampler 🙂
Cool development, respect for Magnus, but not sure how I'd use it yet.
create a mad library then throw them all into playbox to see just how crazy can sound
You can use it for many purposes. It's IMO better suited for sound designers and/or expressivity.
I love sound design and that is why I might not love Synplant, as it takes my tweaking away from me. Mad respect for the developer though, I'd almost buy it just to support his decades of work.
@@rayderrich I love design too, in Synplant 2 they reworked the parameters UI so it's way better to tweak the engine then before.
Thanks for letting me know!
Wow!
