This here is an in-depth page for the appreciation of the art that is the CEDH format. CEDH gameplay, deck reviews, combo explanations, gameplay analysis, Q&A, set reviews, and much much more amazing fun stuff. My personal decks that I am very experienced in piloting are The Gitrog Monster, Adaptive Captain Sisay, Zur the Enchanter, Magda/Daretti variations, Inalla Solitaire, and Thrasios/ Vial Smasher, amongst dabbling with heaps of other things. I have built, played, or played against almost every deck in the format at some stage and have been playing CEDH for about 6 years.
Unfortunately being from Australia there is not a large amount of CEDH tournaments played but I have been a very close friend of Untap, Cockatrice, and Spelltable throughout my time playing and have gotten a lot of experience there.
I will aim to fit in as much comedy as I can however I will be honest my humour is frowned upon by most platforms.
Catch me on Twitch @www.twitch.tv/dontbogfrog/about. :)

People get really upset sometimes when i play this, ESPECIALLY when i do this all above every thing they do and win at instant speed. No matter how clearly and concisely i explain, it never fails to piss off at least one player
How do you let the 1000000 draw resolve in the last combo without dying
Library shuffle effects like kozilek
What about the witherbloom chain of smog combo in this deck
once you have infinite mana, couldnt you just search out syr konrad and win through him
This used to be a win outlet yes! konrad isn’t great when not all ready winning. This newer variation uses pieces that you would already include regardless of the combo
The line with the Vampiric Tutor doesn't work, Kess says "during your turn".
Just subscribed, thank you for the vid!
Thanks for making that video. It's by far my favorite cEDH deck. I'd also say, it's one of the most difficult stax decks in the format right now. The floor of the deck isn't insanely high but the ceiling of the deck is. Captain Sisay rewards experienced players and matchup knowledge a lot, because you have almost always access to most of your hatebears/legendaries. Choosing the right cards, depending on your pod, in the right order sounds easy, but can be really tough... but also super interesting and enthralling 🤩
So I am new to cEDH but not to magic. I built a budget version of this deck. I have have been trying to practice it and through play something came up. I had Gitrog Monster and Putrid Imp on the battlefield. I also had Dakmor Salvage in hand. I started the draw/dredge combo, and was ready to win. I have a Dark Ritual, and I was casting it to start the shuffle to get back DR and net all the black mana. A player responded to the cast of the DR to kill the Imp. So would the DR have to resolve before it can go into the graveyard, and if once the stack starts resolving my Imp would die to the kill spell right? Even if I flood the stack with more draw/dredge triggers, my DR is stuck in limbo waiting to be resolved right? Or am I thinking too much into this? thanks for any advice
You can let the kill spell resolve and Dark Ritual resolve. Using the black mana made off Dark Ritual you can then cast Oblivion Crown and continue. Hope this helps!
Super late reply, sorry. Yes. You can respond to their removal spell by dredging some more. Unless you have multiple ways of producing mana at infinite speed, you would need to let their kill spell resolve before your dark ritual to produce infinite mana. Now, you can of course respond by dredging until you either have a new discard outlet in hand (like he suggested), or until you draw something to return it from the graveyard. Pretty much once the discard outlet hits the battlefield with dakmoor in hand, your opponents should consider scooping.
Maskwood Nexus + Reckless Fireweaver should fit in well?
Hi CEDH for Frogs. Is it correct that if you dredge 2 your Dakmor Salvage from the graveyard and you hit an Eldrazi that you still draw/dredge your Dakmor Salvage to hand before it is being shuffled into your library?
Yes, it is! The Eldrazi shuffle trigger will be put on the stack, however, it is a delayed trigger so it does not happen until you finish resolving Dakmor Salvages Dredge ability, which includes returning it to your hand.
@@CEDHforFrogs Thank you for explaining!! :) Liked, subscribed, commented and I've even hit the bell ;)
I mean.. Heliod ballista is a thing
Yeah, Zur has recently added Heliod Ballista to the main list. This video is a year old.
Nice summary on Magda. She's my main cEDH deck at the moment. I don't think many people actually play Portal or the Gargoyle since there are more efficient wincons (such us Grind Station, Mem Jar, etc.) but that's for sure possible too :)
Nasty
How does this midrange deck deal with Stax?
You can cast an early Kess to gain card advantage and have access to more resources than other players, or you can race to win if you are dealt a fast hand.
What about looping dark ritual or cabal ritual at instant speed over lotus petal and then using the infinite mana and storm for either exsanguinate, torment of hailfire, tendrils of agony or finale of devastation if you have enough creatures in play plus you can pay for fluster storm if you loop the ritual about 60 time or if it’s countered another way you can just do the draw loop to find one of the other options I listed.
Wow great video! Straight to the point!
It would be good to adjust the audio levels. At least in the beginning, the audio is very quiet and I had to turn up the volume a lot
I’ll work on that for future videos!
this is well over my paygrade lol
It would be siiiick if you could name creature with Archon.
I would love to watch this but your mic quality literally hurts my ears (sorry). I'd watch it if you had subtitles though!
This was my first video and since then my more recent videos have an improved microphone.
doesn't lotus cobra+crop rotation+gitrog fulfill the same role as gaea's cradle+crop rotation+gitrog? especially if you are using the floating cobra mana for twilight mire. you can even replace lotus cobra with tireless provisional to get treasues to put into twilight mire
Yes you definitely can do that as well. Not everyone has a cradle!
To explain the esika/najeela combo you would need them in play and a way to produce 3 different mana. You declare attackers, esika gives legendaries both vigilance and tap for mana, when you get priority next you tap for wubrg and activate najeela's ability for another combat phase. If you can attack with 5 legendaries you can tap them for mana and go infinite. Try adding Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist to the mix for additional flavor 😉

Hi I’m looking to build a shimmer zur deck but I don’t understand the combo.. reservoir deals 50 to everyone but how do we pay 50 life if we are at 4 life after Necro? Maybe I don’t understand how much life we gain from reservoir? Are we really playing that many spells to gain 150+ life?
Yes you should easily be able to gain 150+ plus after drawing about 30 or so cards of Necro. Occasionally you will brick, however if this happens and you can only get to say for example 60 life, you can hold the aetherflux ready to kill a player in response to them trying to win while you assemble your oracle combo.
Ok but with finale of decistation can’t you just make three creatures swing for 100+?
Yes you can but that means you have to combo im main phase one before you move to combat
dude is reciting the cedh primer
Copperhorn Scout doesnt untap itself when it attacks...
With the Derevi trigger. I agree I did not make that very clear.
The audio quality my guy 😭😭
I have since updated my microphone 🤩
Opposition Agent loves Intuition. A resolved Opp Agent in response to a cast Intuition almost always ends the game.
Yeah it is very powerful haha. You tutor a two card combo with protection
Brutal
Prosper also has some amazing reach in the form of Stitchers Supplier using the Dockside and Curio loop. You can loop Sticher's Supplier with Dockside Extortionist in order to mill your deck and generate infinite treasures. With your deck in the yard, cast Recoup targeting Reanimate. Reanimate Mayhem Devil and crack the treasure to kill your opponents.
Definitely a line you could take yeah :))
Really well made video. Especially for someone new to the format. Definitely looking forward to more threat assessment tips and tricks.

Excellent breakdown of the Zur deck. I’m building this deck currently, and this was quite helpful in helping me understand the various engines within the deck. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it man. Subscribe if you want to get more content like this about various deck in the future.

I love your decklist... I really want to see the deck in action
I could definitely get the deck up in a gameplay video if youd like. Subscribe so you see it when it drops.
@@CEDHforFrogs Sir... You got new suscriber~
Love the video
Thanks man. Drop a sub if you want to see more
This deck looks like it could enjoy a Spellseeker, Corridor Monitor, and maybe Renegade Rallier.
Corridor and Renegade seem really good so pod can win off any sacrifice. Spellseeker being a tool box for literally every instant/sorc beside Eldritch evo seems good as well
Sure, this combo is insanely complex, and understanding it and pulling it off is remarkably impressive, but to think that there was one person who came up with this entire thing, is on a whole new level of crazy.
The combo has been developed over many years. I remember when i first started playing this deck the combo was completely different 😂. The Gitrog primer writers are always brewing new insane ways to make the combo stronger or more efficient. It’s really quite insane
It took about 4 ppls seperate strategies to meld into one complex build
Idk man, the combo is really easy to understand for me. I agree with the madman who came up with it though. insane group of people for sure
Is there another way to make infinite mana without Gaea's Cradle?
You can loop dark ritual/lotus petal/twilight mire :)
@@CEDHforFrogs I have all those! But is there another land to replace Cradle on like an instant speed Crop Rotation loop? Best I have is using Emergence Zone to give Flash to Lotus Petal, which works but isnt as smooth as looping Cradle.
@@vinightshade6026 ezone is the perfect choice :)
@@CEDHforFrogs oh ok awesome! Thanks for the replies!!!

Great video only suggestion is to get a better mic. Keep it up!
