I would love to find one of the people who have been calling helldivers 2 a “dead game” and show them this gameplay trailer. This really shows how dedicated arrowhead is to their player base.

You did way better than I would. You also did it while bug spawning is increased. I feel anytime a Helldiver doesn't do a full clear, it would make it feel like you did complete it. Great job.

No support weapon loadouts are my favorite for changing things up. If Arc thrower gets fixed/buffed properly and chances of finding other weapons on the map in higher difficulties would totally rock this more.

This used to be my game of choice for so long so the urge to backseat game is huge. But I haven’t played vanilla seriously for like 3 years so I’m a bit out of touch. That said I do know and think it’s important to be aware that the more you use the anvil on an item the more it cost on that item to eventually reach a point it will no longer let you use the anvil for that particular item. Even if it is just to fix that item. There are some tricks to extend this but I don’t believe an item is really ever “unbreakable” without the mending enchantment but that makes combining enchantments onto an item expensive to the point that you have to forgo having that tool with the full array of other useful enchants. Also anvils have durability and will eventually break too.

It's Helldivers 2, and it's good! Definitely worth a shot there's a lot to grind for probably over 200 hours of gameplay

Consoldating my comments so I'm less of a spammy jerk. Egg throwing for chickens is still a thing, it's supposed to be a 12.5% chance. That was a pretty unlucky streak early in the video. You can eat cake - you just weren't hungry. Put another down, then try again when you need food. If you leave the amethyst blocks that have the breaks in them, the crystals will regrow over time, presuming the chunks they're in are loaded. A couple of hoppers on that composter will do the clicky work for you, and you can add a couple chests to make them queue up even more. Shield enchanting *is* a thing, but it's the long way - you have to enchant books, then apply them to the shield on the anvil.

Railgun seems to be in a weird spot vs bots where in safe mode it can 1 shot kill devastators to the body and hulks to the head, but overcharging it takes way too many rounds to kill anything bigger.

It was good once. So good that it was making other AT weapons look bad. Instead of making these said weapons more powerful, devs just nerfed railgun to hell. Don't believe dev fanboys. It's not "unnerfed". One most important hidden stat is still very low on it. One that was making this weapon god-tier.

They want something like milsim with bugs and bots where every move is tactical instead of fun. So I left. Had my share of fun when it was fun. But yeah, they DEFINETLY will nerf Commando and Breaker Incendiary. I've seen how these weapon perform on YT- it's kinda fun. Devs hate fun.

Given your issues with bow-wielding skeletons, is there a reason you don't make a shield? The offhand torch is nice, but not being a pincushion is also nice.

Completely unrelated comment incoming: I tried project zomboid with the mods....it was good fun (again, thank you for the mod-compilation!!), but ultimately I still died a lot, which was in the end quite off-putting. Then started playing 7 days to die. Gotta say, I like ego-perspective MUCH better in these kinds of games. Anyhow, you SHOULD set up that discord (I'd love to do a helldive at some point;). By now, I'm also pretty much playing HD2 as a fall back....next week, 7 days to die is FINALLY being released.
