Lovely car, shame someone binned it into Chequers...
As the owner of a very late production Canadian spec TR-8; I'm amazed at how cheap theses cars are....little collector interest...
Ute is amazing
You need bigger jeans.
For that price... That must have been a TR7 conversion. There are or were companies that did a proper job making it indeed a TR8 but even still thats a good price. There was something like only 22 right handers made.
If I had a winning bid, what is the drill for removing the car, bearing mind its condition may be uncertain?
Too cheap
Subaru looks great. I've always like them but don't like the huge boot spoiler. Can it be removed?
Great walk around again
Much better with Jim alone.
Wheres Paul?
Why has nobody mentioned the brakes? It's from before the hydraulic upgrade ( and uses clevis pins ). Healthy respect is needed here. Especially in a hilly area.
I had a mini in the late '90's. It was my first car. Even the brown colour couldn't cover up all the rust. And when you braked you couldn't 'brace yourself' one way or the other, because you could never tell which side it was going to pull you. It never knew what braking in a straight line was! At least it worked I suppose. Got rid of it for a Polo which had almost as much rust, it was just very craftily covered up by the spray-shop of the place I bought it - for about 5 minutes. Then it all blew through the paint. Ah the joys of rutsbuckets.
You look very similar to Ben from @SortedFood
I had forgotten MOST of what he said by now! However, I do remember 2 "sport' -related titles they had for special editions, in the glorious 80's. One was WHITE, with a green graphic of a tennis net along the side - called the Mini Advantage. Then in the 90's came a cool British Racing Green one, where the group of companies pioneered having a type of modernised British Racing Green - by making it slightly METALLUC. SO slightly metallic, that you didn't actually NOTICE it was metallic, till you got close up! A "twin" look -"solid" paintwork from a distance, then metallic, from close up! Genius! This version had a full length sunroof, and was called the BRITISH OPEN OPEN CLASSIC.
Really lose that music
Fiat 127 Sport is a cool first car! I came close to buying one before I could drive but ended up getting a mk1 fiesta instead. Wouldn't mind trying a Rover 75, I've had an 820 which was lovely to drive. Thanks for sharing Tim :)
Glad you enjoyed it. If you get the chance to drive a R75 then do so. I think you will be impressed.
👍👍
Interesting walk round. sound quality not good guys, grating to listen to it unfortunately
Really enjoyed it thanks Tim.
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are welcome!
It’s interesting reminiscing about the different cars you’ve owned over the years. My first car was a non runner Viva that cost £85 in 1985 🤣
Thx for your comments !
Man I had this in black with the exact same black and red striped seats, miss that car!
Mention the price estimate and mileage for each car if possible
Great video again Jim
I hated the front end look of the Carlton the way the bonnet drooped down on to the front bumper, I worked for a Vauxhall dealership from the late 1970s to the mid 1980s and until the mk1 Astra came out the cars were absolute shit
Nobody wants fuzz in their fuel lines 😊😊😊!
👍👍👍
Spanking example . However a very abrupt ending ......what happened ?
This is such a classy car channel!
Gosh the sound was poor chaps.
#GrammarPolice.....BMWs.....just looks unprofessional
Magnificent car. I'm old enough to remember them when they were new. Magical moment when you saw the rare 323i with twin pipes 🥰
Lovely British Motor!! 👍👍👍
I look forward to your videos. However recently the sound quality has been so bad. It becomes unwatchable.
Im glad Fuzz pushed aside his passenfers attempt to bring up 40 RA, if you go back and see he did such. He stuck with the review of this car.
The Lucas fuel injection was reliable. Technician knowledge and (especially) the fuel pump were not.
I've always liked these but looks like the drivers leg room is very poor unless you have very long legs
Sound quality is fracking dire !
Hopeless at presenting ..wheres the other bloke who is first class
That’s what I Was thinking ? Is the bigger guy here his brother , they seem a bit Similar ?
Only 250 right hand drive? Where else did they sell these? Mainland Europe? They didn’t have them in the USA. Although I believe General Motors (an American company) owned Vauxhall at the time. So just curious, where else did they sell them? They were built in Britain right?
Nice VW Corrado.
Yeah..
The saddest part... This isn't even a MKI (Mark 1). It's a MKII (Mark 2). This is immediately evident due to the welded handlebar stem. "A sucker born every minute...."
Sound is really poor
Brilliant, thanks guys, it’s genuinely appreciated…
Not sure why this car hasn't sold in previous auctions. It's so cool, if you know what it is.
I picked up a friend from a garage in Newton Abbot a few weeks ago and one of these pocket rockets was parked up in the staff car park . I knew it had to be something special . Your feature confirmed my suspicions ! I bought a Mitsubishi Colt 1500 turbo in the 1980's . No where near the Nissan in performance but nonetheless an absolute hoot to drive ! My wifes favourite car ! Have a great weekend !
The GTir was Peak Nissan. Its so sad Nissan don't make great cars like this anymore.
I just can’t wait for My inheritance to come through- need something as beautiful as this to tinker with. Been scouring for a Lanchester.
What a beautiful car, not heard of the make before 👍🏾
