  Are the mounting holes of Fast-8 same as Lowther ? Do you think I can fit the Fast-8 into the Fidelio cabinet ?

  hi, please note only 2 diagonal holes are the same as Lowther, I think fast-8 can be mounted fitly into the Fidelio cabinet by adding a thin piece of wood to fill the small gap, but not sure if its bass is in phase or not, trial and error, cheers.

  IMHO, it adds a decorative minimalist elegance, but it may not meet the standards of critical audiophile listening. However, you can enhance its sound quality by placing this CD player on a wooden pedestal and connecting it to a high-end soundbar or sound system via Bluetooth, cheers.

  indeed. Literally looking for something this simple to use as CD transport, and yet they all refuse to put a simple digital out so we're stuck with multi hundred € CD players if we want to pass the audio to a decent system.

  @@36424567254 Absolutely! It's a wild audio relay race out there! Minimalist CD players passing the baton via Bluetooth, but we crave that direct connection. Let's hope the manufacturers break free from this wireless obsession and deliver a "sweet look and sound" CD transport that can elegantly pass the audio to our beloved systems. Fingers crossed for a harmonious and hassle-free listening experience! 🥰

  Same feeling as yours, in conjunction with the bass unit, the PM4A's high frequency band needs to be attenuated. If a wooden horn is used, the sound will be even better.

  Depends on the design of front and rear horn since PM4A needs both to sound balanced. When you get it right they sound fantastic, transparent and balanced.

  That’s not a compression driver. Your horn will play HF better than mids (I speculate considering its shape), but you use a full range driver. Top two out of four screws just dropped into the holes. They don’t hold anything and will be making a buz. As well as the wires (it’s better to use some soft sleeves for them. A bottom side is not damped for some reason (it seems it was hard to cut a pan) But if mechanism works perfectly I’m good ;)

  That's right, thank you for your suggestion. In addition to the horn, there is also a 360-litre cabinet equipped with a 15-inch mid and low driver. The horn is likely optimized for high frequencies rather than mid-range performance... somehow wasting pm4a's mid :)

  @@odear Well If your driver has a roll off at high freq range, that horn is an acoustic EQ which is always better than an electrical EQ. Good luck!

  Hi, here is the fuse spec, T1AL, 250v, 5x20mm (small) fuse, using copper / gold plated one could result in a hearable upgrade, hope this helps, cheers.
