this didnt age well, 35 locations in 2023 had to close as they were making massive loses to the business, and the company only just avoided declaring bankruptcy thanks to an agreement with the creditors.

Why wagamama doesn't recruit staff from abroad like Algeria ..for example I worked in this company for more 7 years even I opened with them 3 new restaurants and I trained new staff in Briton, Wimbledon and islington.

@@chef_tian3067 because i used to work at wagamama and its not worth it. Health and safety is not a thing there and you'll probably get treated like crap. They will cut your hours without warning and you will not get paid well either. Management is obviously different in every restaurant but in mine, they were horrible.

So you can be underpaid, overworked and never get anywhere? Anyone working a chain restaurant and expecting any grandeur is insane. Shelf stackers at Aldi get paid more than 90% of Wagamama positions in house.

Don’t think it’s about the money mate, everyone has to start somewhere. Whether you’re being overworked in a pub, or a chain restaurant, you can’t exactly just walk into a michelin star restaurant. These places require experience, and wagamama’s is a great place to get that experience for someone with none.

All staff should get tips. New or not. I tipped my waiter to find out they wouldn't get a penny.

Wagamama spends a lot of time and money on advertising......unfortunately they have failed to work on being fair when it comes to the tips.... :-(

That's entirely untrue. All staff get a portion of tips via a Tronc scheme.

I worked in Peterborough, Cambridge and rushden Wagamama branch, in that company isn't possible a growing up. People was used like a animals without any respect for them work. And the money wasn't adequate for job which you done. For me it was wasted time.
