  This boss was the one I had the most resets on, mainly because of the charm of Glasya-Labolas surviving turn 2 and just murdering me on turn 2. I did go all offensive to kill him and won then but man, this fight early on is rough. I am suprised you don't use the Magatsuhi: Luck to get more Exp. Don't you think that might be necessary?

  It's definitely not necessary, and the reason I'm not using it is because it's banned in this playthrough. All optional sources of exp are restricted. If I could pump my MC full of extra exp, I might as well do the abscesses for all the good skills.

  Sorry bro, using demons ABOVE your current level is NOT a low/lowest level run....anyone who does these kind of runs and call it low level runs are wrong...even if you abuse fusion accidents. That's like going ng+, buy lvl 99 demons and call it low level run.

  Fusion accidents can only get up to a certain level. +7/8 above the MC's level seems to be the maximum. It makes my life a lot harder, so it's definitely a challenge run. This is the lowest level possible the MC can finish the game at, while avoiding ALL optional experience sources.

  The "Counter -1" only shows up when the counter is triggered because of Fortuna's -1 Physical affinity, since it's a physical attack. All counters display like this when triggered in battle, like Satan's will say "Adversary +7".

  I have seen other low-level players put the hydra to sleep during his second phase in order to prevent frenzy from destroying the party. Did you consider using aramasa in order to increase Nyami Nyami's damage? Do you think Azumi and Mermaid would be a better pair of damage dealers than Nyami Nyami and Mermaid for this fight? Scratch Dance would hit 4 times with pandemonic feast and omagatoki critical.

  One of the players who put Hydra to sleep was me 2 years ago. It didn't work a lot of the time, so I didn't attempt it on this challenge - I was having an easier time dealing damage, too! It does seem however that status ailments connect more often in my experience in Vengeance, possibly due to the level scaling being weaker? Azumi definitely would be better, but I didn't get lucky enough to get one with a fusion accident. People have been pointing out that I've been ignoring multi-hit physicals. I'll see if I find use for them in the early-midgame.

  Running calcs, Aramasa would up Nyami Nyami's damage by 8%? Not sure if it would be worthwhile.

  @@MoogleBoss Aramasa would be helpful in both Naamah fights even without any strength investment, and the damage increase would probably be more than 8% when it is time for everyone to attack and gain press turns in the hydra fight.

  ​@MoogleBoss These three were my endgame characters for a first-play playthrough with a No Fusions challenge (but on Normal mode). Even then, you would have some interesting but hard fights to face with this exact team. Omagatoki: Accursed Poison from Zhen was a must. The ability to learn random skills was also very helpful.

  Nope, can't do that. There's exactly one abscess in the first area that you're forced to do as part of the scripted storyline sequence.

  Sure, it's a multi-hit attack after all. There's usually just one turn I get to make use of Mermaid's innate ability, though.

  The removal of level scaling makes this so much more fun to do. Being able to fight Shiva at 80 and not have it take an hour is so nice.
