They tend to argue that it’s “efficient” and “cost effective” but the truth is they hate beauty that represents humanity’s greatness and nature. Societies that are ran by good people in power always build beautiful classical architecture. Societies ran by tyrants give birth to horrible grey concrete monstrosities and “modern art”. Guess who runs most of our societies now post WW2

Germania is the definition of an architect's dream, and an engineer's nightmare, keep in mind, Berlin is marshland, and thus to support all of this weight and prevent it sinking would've been a logistical nightmare.
