    I remember this when it happened. I lived not to far away. There were more people who tried swimming out to rescue people but turned back as the cold got to them. You people today don’t have any idea what it was like then. Don’t criticize the movie if you didn’t live through it.

    how come this movie has basically the real CVR recording being said by the actors as if they were reading the transcript, but when it comes to the tragedy at Tenerife we have to rely on an interpretation? The real CVR of this flight is one i have heard plenty of times. And i knew this movie, from when i was a lot younger. But now i see this part again and these actors basically read the transcript of the CVR in a movie. Why was this not done in movies about the Tenerife disaster, nor even in the actual Air Crash Investigation docu about that crash? We as the public have to rely on a transcript. But in this case there seems to be no problem to release the CVR and have actors say it almost word for word. I just do not understand why they have never released the audio of the CVR from the Tenerife disaster. They blame the dutch captain, because he was impatient. Sure, could be. May we as the public hear that for ourselves, or do we have to rely on "experts" and transcriptions of recordings? Smells fishy to me, to be honest.

    Jade absolutely was a bully. Bullying Shilpa for not losing her virginity when she was a teenage was absolutely disgusting is a demonstration of how disgusting our country can be sometimes. It was shameful to witness, I'm not surprised India was so offended, and she deserved a lot of criticism for that. All that said, I think to some extent she was set up. Firstly, Big Brother knew her personality. They had her for 2-3 months in the house watching her 24/7. Firstly, they knew she wouldn't get along with Shilpa. That's obvious. Again, anyone who's not sexually promiscuous is going to be disliked by Jade. Anybody who's upper class is going to be disliked by Jade. Anybody who doesn't raise their temper is going to be disliked by Jade. Secondly, Jade is someone who thought East Anglia was abroad, who thought Africa was a country, who thought Italy was in America, doesn't know who George W. Bush is, etc. It was absolutely 100% guaranteed she would make offensive/ignorant comments about India given it was going to be a regular topic of conversation with Shilpa being in the house. If the producers didn't want racism they should not have put them together in the same show. Thirdly, they put Jade in the house with two of her loved ones. Along with this she's the only person who had done the whole thing before. So basically, she walks in there feeling like the Queen of the house. This will do nothing except inflate her ego and confidence dramatically. She's walking in there like a conquering hero getting special treatment. Finally, Jade was pretty nasty in the show the first time around, and was hated for a while, but both Big Brother and the media at the time decided to give her a redemption arc (probably because she got the show viewers and good stories for the press) and both worked as best as they could to try and make her as liked as possible by the time the show finished. Jade walks out the house in 2002 being told everybody loves her, for no reason except that "she was just being herself". And she had years of adoration and worship from the media afterwards. This sends completely the wrong message to her, it made her think people enjoyed her bitchiness and stupidity, so she went into the house excited to do it all again and become even more loved (or so she thought). For most of us, we have to work hard to improve our personalities, moderate our behaviour and become better people. Jade had a mother who loved her unconditionally no matter what, and then went on a TV show and got worshipped for doing absolutely nothing, essentially. So of course she was going to walk in that house and behave the way she did. She got positive reinforcement (on a level that most of us can't even imagine) for being a nasty person. If anything, Jade probably thought she HAD to find someone to bully or else people wouldn't like her. Also, due to her childhood (she had a hard childhood, but 99% of people do tbh), she probably didn't have much discipline, as she was having to care for her mother, etc. So whilst Jade's behaviour was unacceptable, I do think she was set up to some extent. The Big Brother staff MUST have known this would happen. I saw it a mile off. And they have loads of psychologists working for them, they definitely would have known, but chose to do it anyway.

  • @dopeyrelaxingsounds8607
    @dopeyrelaxingsounds8607Ай бұрын

    It is definitely cruel what Big Brother did here, and they're by far not the only reality TV show to do this sort of stuff for ratings, views, controversy etcetera. However, I think people would be more aware of something like this nowadays and it would be widely criticised to the point where there would be huge implications for any reality TV show that would try this. It's almost like, for example, you have an idea that you bring to your friend to beat up this innocent person due to a personal, unjustified disliking towards them, you both beat this person up and then the controversy hits your friend (no pun intended) so hard that you actually get away with it, with only a minute amount of eyebrows raised, and your friend receives a lengthy prison sentence and the victim, in the end, is left more emotionally damaged than physical. Big Brother, the friend with the idea. Jade, the friend. Shilpa, the victim. Big Brother definitely wanted this sort of clash of personalities, because with all due respect, she seems like a lovely person, but a house full of Shilpa's does not or would not have made for "good television" back then or now. But with the example I just made, I believe that Big Brother wanted that clash of personalities, looked for it, and when they got it managed to dodge the backlash, they thought to themselves, "Phew, we really got away with one there." It seems to me like people were so outraged that they can only shift at least half of the blame onto the show now in hindsight. P.S. The example I made is probably pretty shaky and I'm not trying to paint Jade out to be innocent. Although, she appears to be the type of person who would be exploited for this type of reaction.

  • @dopeyrelaxingsounds8607
    @dopeyrelaxingsounds8607Ай бұрын

    Funnily enough, something quite similar happened with a woman on either Britain's Got Talent or X Factor, where she was called a P!nk impersonator when the show runners actually told her to audition with a P!nk song etcetera. and she had an unacceptable reaction, but years later, she actually made KZread videos about the situation and how she was exploited. Obviously this situation isn't quite the same because she was actually the victim. There are some parallels though, in the sense that they would've probably known this person was likely to have a reaction like the one she had.
