    I like slips, a half slip for a skirt and a camisole for under the top. Gives me more freedom I think than a full slip. That last top with the black shirt under it is so cute!

    Always love your videos. Running a part time business and doing home schooling is a lot of stuff to do!!! I too have a hard time getting started on things, even if it’s something I really want to do. Once I make myself start, I’m fine. Are you still spinning? Did you get more bobbins for your spinning wheel? I was suppose to start my Tour de Fleece spin on Sunday, but lol, I’ll be catching up today.

    Hi! Good to hear from you. The days are full but good. I haven't done any spinning in a long time but I really would like to get back to it! Everything else is taking up my personal crafting time these days. I love seeing everyone's TDF plans. Do you post your progress online? (apologies if I should know that answer) I still only have one bobbin for my antique spinning wheel but I'm mostly using my electric, Plyology wheel these days, and I have lots of bobbins for that one!

    I totally get the downstairs crafting space. Our basement is half storage/laundry and the other half is hobbies. I keep my sewing desk and toolbench where I store my yarn stash and supplies. I want to sew but I have to sort of leave the family for it. I do have a sofa, desk, and table there if the kid follows but focusing can be a thing. Awesome job for making it work.

    Sounds like a similar set up to what I have. There are pros and cons either way but it is annoying to move it so I’ve just left it so far. That may change though, as everyone gets older it get easier to have a bit more space

    Great video! Curious about your two swifts. The smaller one - how do you determine when you’ve hit your one skein mark? (Looks like your larger skein you dyed was one big skein that you are winding off into 3??). Are you using a rotation counter?? Pretty handy hubby for building that for ya!! 😉

  • @KendraMakes
    @KendraMakes21 күн бұрын

    Hi! I measure by weight when winding from the cone to the large warping mill. Every 100 grams (plus a gram or two) I cut the yarn and tie it to the next skein so it’s continuous but measured. After dyeing when I wind it off I go until I come to a knot and that’s one skein!

    Let me just start with I am a Trump supporter and do not believe he is a white supremacist. However, that is my personal decision and has nothing to do with my hobbies of knitting & crochet. I find it supremely stupid for Ravelry to ban people or projects. Why don’t we leave politics where it belongs. People are taking things way too far.

    I’ll try Kroy again. I didn’t like it at all when I used it a few years ago. It is thicker than other yarns and I didn’t like the fabric it knit up into. I want to try West Yorkshire Spinners now, too. Thanks!

    No. More than fifty percent of the people did NOT vote for Trump, that isn't how US elections work. Clinton won the popular vote. There are MANY videos that explain it, but we have an electoral college, meaning x thousand votes for y converts to one official vote for y and that number varies by state. It's assanine and really should be changed to one vote for y equals one vote for y but you try convincing politicians who only get seats because of it to change it. 🙄. (Actually I would prefer ranked voting to first past the post but we can't even have that so...).

    This yarn is beautiful. If you want browns, you’d need to mix green with red. Add more blue for a darker,more greyish brown. Add more yellow and red for a warmer, lighter brown.
