You need to add the sounds of a real railroad

Phenomenal and awesome! But why no working signals? Going to that trouble and not fitting signals seems a bit odd...

I know this is 13 years later but what a great video of a wonderful model railway. The modelling of the entire railway and particularly the stations is amazing. A fantastic feat of engineering. Congratulations to everyone who has contributed to the build over the many years. Great job. Thank you.

The best part is the little kid jumping up and down at 4:00 !!! A future model railroader was born at that exact moment I think.

This popped up in my recommendations feed. I'm so glad it did, this was my favourite place to visit as a child and every child that reacted with joy and excitement at the sight of the trains going by was exactly how I reacted. Now I'm 31 and hope to some day soon have children of my own to bring to this timeless place. Thank you for this nostalgia trip.

I used to love visiting this place as a child, but was always tantalised by the 'behind the scenes' parts of the operation that we couldn't see, and moreover had a suspicion that behind the peripheral hedges were many more miles of miniture track and a whole other secret wonderful world.

The trains are built to a slightly smaller sacle than the buildings and the people. If you look closely at the people waiting on the platform you'll see that they look a little large next to the trains. When you come back next year and see exactly the same people still waiting, that's because they're waiting for a train that's big enough for them to get into.
