The napkin is for picking up the food, because in Brazil we don't have the habit of eating with our hands, we either use a napkin or a fork and knife.

    1) the "tired stones" are called sayk’usqa rumi, "rumi" being stone. 2) What you call the "back" of the "Inkawatana" is the front, facing the the rising sun at the December solstice. 3) The trapezoidal niches you see in most Inka buildings would hold idols if they were temples, personal items if they were residences. The Inka had no furniture. 3) The two-story structure in Qellu Racay was, per archeologists and Andeanists, probably Inka Pachacutiq's lodging in his river retreat. As you say, all is speculation.4) The "glacier" is called Wayka Willkiy in the Inka tongue, and Apu Veronica in Spanish. I guess they named it after the restaurant. Glad you like the town, it has the most undestroyed Inka ruins in the world. I moved here ten years ago and I'm never going back.

In reality, the SUS (acronym in Portuguese for Unified Health System) which serves the entire Brazilian population, including tourists and immigrants with a wide network of clinics, hospitals of various complexity, vaccines and medicines is not FREE! Because there are taxes that we pay on all products and this money is passed on to this broad health care network. Even though there is corruption, embezzlement and it could be much better due to the amount of public funds transferred from taxes collected. The SUS is important and a global reference. But it urgently needs to be routinely audited, and never be the target of corruption and embezzlement or political/ideological bargaining.

I am currently in Belem, and I actually bought a plane ticket to leave early. It is a very poor, run down city with graffiti everywhere (and I do mean everywhere... over 50% of the city it seems). Most of the lodging is severely overpriced charging double the price that it should be. Example: I paid $20 for one night at a very basic hostel (No towels provided, no privacy curtains, very old building, only one shower had warm water, none of the staff spoke English, the sheet smelled very gross and like it had not been washed in ages) versus the price for a top-of-the-line hostel very close to Iguazu Falls is $13.50/night and there are many hostels in Rio with ratings of 8 or above charging less than $13/night. I stayed in three Airbnbs while in Belem and none of them had hot water for the shower (it seems that is a luxury in Belem). The actual town of Belem does not have that much to do... people go on excursions to the surrounding islands to do things like the acai or cacao tours, so the high prices for lodging are unjustified and just to rip people off. The monthly price of over $500 USD per month being charged for Airbnbs with no hot water, no AC, no microwave or TV and old furniture is double what many people in the area make per month. I felt unsafe and depressed for the two weeks I spent here. I left this comment to give people a more realistic view of Belem, rather than a view that tourists leave to perhaps make it look like they had more fun than they actually did. I will not look at or respond to any comments because I did not post this to argue or be negative... I posted an honest account of my time in Belem.
