I just want to say THANK YOU. I can't tell you how thankful I am for you guys and your helpful content. It took me a while, but I was able to follow your steps in the video to get my brew group cleaned out, o-rings replaced, and issues resolved. My Impressa F7 is 15+ years old and has cranked out 20,000 cups of coffee, and it's still going as strong as ever thanks to you guys.

God Bless you! I’m amazed at the engineering that went into the design & evolution of the Jura machines! Astounded is a better word. I’m grateful that you share this unique & indispensable video of rebuilding the brew group. It’s unbelievable that you tear down this complex amalgam of parts to each component. Then repeat the process so effortlessly. Kudos to you! I’m not sure I will tear down mine when the time comes; I just may opt for buying a rebuilt brew group! 😂

Fantastic video! Am rebuilding my first brew group for ENA3. Top of the upper portion of the lower piston seems to hang up in the piston cup. Have reset the lower piston several times making certain it’s pressed all the way down but then not going thru gears smoothly when that lower piston gets to top of cup and hangs up instead of cup moving/ejecting forward. Any ideas?? Thx!

Two questions. Rebuilding my first ENA3 brew group. 1) the little pipe shaped piece that fits at bottom has a small gasket that fits on the 90 degree bend end, does that gasket just fit on END or does it need to be put on further past first ring? 2) bottom of my brew unit does not have the brown plastic shroud that fits at bottom. Our family has a ENA5 that does have this brown shroud so wondering why this is? How is this brown shroud removed? Sorry system won’t allow me to send photos. Thx

Great video! Am considering rebuilding my ENA3 brew kit. However it’s only producing very coarse grounds regardless of settings. I’ve taken apart and tried various calibrations, even as “tight” as possible and still getting very coarse grounds that do not form pucks. Presume this is a grinder issue and not brew kit seals, etc. HELP!!

Hi Vet first thank you for your service I will put a Vet first every time! Retired out it myself 22 years I saw your KZread videos and purchased your rubber gasket pack with the oval driver. Question, I did the whole shebang and I don’t know what I did wrong but the slider in the front that adjusts for espresso and larger won’t go up far enough to put the tray back in what did I do wrong? Thanks for taking on the big dogs my brother I’ll back you every step of the way!

Incredible video! Reminds me of the Rubix cube. I made an amateur DIY mistake of not remembering the gearbox position (7:07) relative to the casing when taking it out. I thought each side looked the same either way! In the end, an error 8 or when doing the second test, the lower piston would pop out. Also for me, in order to know if the lower piston was pushed down enough, I had to take out all 3 (gearbox, piston cup, piston) out and test for the correct end position.

Hi and firstly…. This helped me so much..thank you very much. Unfortunately, i followed all the steps and my brewing unit moves freely and when i reconnected to my coffee machine, it runs and exactly as it used to. Except… I have same issue i started with…no coffee coming through anymore… ive used a screwdriver to trick the sensors to have a look, and it seems its leaking from the point in which the drain valve meets the lower piston and a load comes out of the wastegate. I really think my drain valve is faulty but i did do something alittle silly when reassembling. So i used the 'revised metal cap' for the drain pin, and it wouldnt sit in the pin properly, so i hammered it which ended up bending the tip very slightly and i have since tried to realign it. It seems ok but does have me a little paranoid that is causing the issue. Other than that, my reassembly was spot on. I tested the movement of the piston in a clockwise motion and it was smooth (which took ages to master but thats because i stumbled on this video so thanks again) Any advice on the above would really be appreciated. As im not sure if i should spend money on another pin, or just get a fully refurbished one. I feel its something very silly thats causing it, which is ashame because ive replaced all the o rings now

Useful video. I have an Impressa C9 and was getting an error 2. Replaced the thermoblock sensor and that fixed the problem. To open the case you'll need an oval head socket which you can get from Jura Parts for about $8 USD. You'll also need at 15 Torx for the case and a 25 Torx to remove the sensor from the thermoblock.

Great video and the parts I had ordered worked well, it took a couple of attempts to reset the piston correctly to ensure free movement..Also I had an error of missing tray when I turned it on. Somehow the microswitch became dislodged. I was able to put it in the correct position and it works great. Our Jura has made over 14529 coffees!

When I make the water flow from the right side, the machine seems to be ready to fonction but after pressing the coffee button, the same story ... I changed the brew group and the water pump. An excellent and thorough video, good job! A few caveats: At 3:27 and 4:14, IMMEDIATELY remove the bushings (bearings) from the pins the moment you take the arms off, so you don't lose them. At 4:35 you flipped the brew group over without having removed the bushing and at 4:45 when you flipped it back that bushing was gone. It fell off, and I suppose at some point you retrieved it off the table. Those bushings can easily be lost if you don't take them off the moment they are exposed. At 4:56 be careful that the circlips don't fly across the room if you pull them off with something other than a needle nose. For example if you remove them with an awl or a screwdriver, they have high spring tension and can go flying. Control them, like he did here. At 23:56 when you replace the circlips push them firmly on and control them: if you slip with your finger or tool, they are under strong spring pressure and can fly across the room.
