Is it safe to say that "if you're the best, then there's no one better than you"?
I believe it depends on who you are directing the comment toward and what you mean by it.
I wonder if it would elimante some of the negative aspects if you used a sous vide technique instead of baking.
Interesting thought.
Thats fantastic.Well done.

Thx for the recommendations
I would love a pdf copy of your works book. If/when you create it.👍
Great idea! Thank you!
I just looked up that Peter Han book on Amazon and it's selling for $550+... What's in this book again?
I will sell you my copy for $450… I am just kidding of course. This happens when books go out of print. Anyway, it is full of great basic knowledge for drawing without reference, training exercises and breaking down complex subjects. Terrific book imo. 550 though… 😅 I think I would hang out and see if they do another print run.
Had to paint in black with a marker all the pe nis close ups 🤮
The struggle is real.
It looks like the book doesn’t have the female skeleton just the male
There are definitely a few sections devoted to the variables of age and sex in the book.
Is it just me or is the gastrocnemius not drawn correctly? The inner half should be lower than the outer. 15:49
Now that you mention it, the drawing does look a bit odd.
I microwave mine for 30 seconds ....works for me
Copying is fine. Of course, if you're learning art with the intent of applying it, you should copy the stuff in the books to learn them. But the text is equally important, cause it breaks down the picture and helps you understand what's happening in it faster than you'd learn by trying to understand the stuff yourself.
Agreed. I suppose it comes down to individual learning styles in the end.
What a breath of fresh air and not a rush of hype that is impossible to imitate! Thanks for sharing this! I like doing stuff like this with images in Canva too and it's a bit less overwhelming than all the nested lists of Photoshop et al. I guess like everyone else, I will just have to take life one layer at a time until I finally make the elusive perfect mask.
Thank you so much. I love the Photoshop/Life Philosophy!
👏
Great! Glad you like the video. We had fun creating it!
Great video and I love that the intent of the game shines through, and you've given me an idea for another variation. In-world there are different rules in different regions, taverns, and groups. People add their own twists or house rules. Technically one does not win by having the face cards on the field of battle (table) but I kind of like that variation and will be adding it to the rules.
Melting should do that, but the wood will warp as it gets warm.
I'm going 2 try this. 4 how expensive these things r, I have a hard time recommending them. It's extremely frustrating.
Any author goes through a lot book page by page ? ?
Where is a battlefield to know if any author is good.
Any of 5he authors demo oñ KZread ?
Hey, could you please give us the link for dynamic bible ?
amzn.to/49uJU9t Here you go. I hope that helps. Thank you for viewing.
Thanks for the information. I will purchase at least two of the books. If you publish a book, I definitely will buy it.
From Reddit it is extremely expensive for the content you are getting, i do not recommend it at all. it's extremely thin in terms of the density of information you're getting. there's also complaints about the book pushing debunked racist beliefs about how different characterstics in humans emerged and i would agree with the complaints as an example, the section on eyes posits that asians speak "indirectly" because they have epicanthic folds so there's less of the eyeball to make eye contact with, therefore they are shy and less direct in speech. "westerners" (the author means white people) speak directly and are less shy because they don't have epicanthic folds. basically pushing the meek asian stereotype... because of eye folds. the author also uses stereotypical depictions of black people when he is talking about what happens if our features were exaggerated. the author also has really bizarre views of the human form and how it was developed to become "feminine" (this is me paraphrasing). basically, if you've ever seen bad anime/manga of female depiction, the author tries to defend the exaggeration and ridiculous proportions. the content of the actual muscles and bones is not bad and i like the way he organized it, but it's not worth $80 since he provides very little information (it's literally a sentence worth PER MUSCLE GROUP, not even per muscle). to be honest, i highly doubt he's the only one who's organized his anatomy book based on functional purpose vs location on the body. the book in itself is also LITTERED WITH TYPOS AND ERRORS! they are EVERYWHERE, some sentences don't make sense because of the typos. some parts of the diagrams are labeled incorrectly. KEEP IN MIND THAT FOR $80 YOU CANNOT RETURN IT PER THE PUBLISHER'S POLICY. it's just really not worth it. i got the book and i honestly feel like it was one of my biggest cash sinks ever.
Thank you for the comment. Which book are you referring to so that I can better review your concerns?
Rich, if you decide to make your own book that helps us all learn to draw and use anatomy you better believe I am going to be among the first ones to pre-order and buy it. This video is a gold mine of catalogues for starter artists looking to get serious about anatomy and drawing. Thank you for uploading!
You are too kind! Thank you for the encouraging words. I am glad the video provided you value.
I'm somewhat of a complete beginner at drawing, and I was wondering if a beginner could buy Michael Hampton's book (?). If you don't think so, do you have a book you would recommend to me before I buy Hampton's ?
That is a great question. In my opinion, the various books offer different insights into the vast subject of figure drawing. I do not believe there is a particular order in which they should be studied.
@@diligentvisual2086 Ah ok, thanks for the information
Thanks for the video, very helpful 👍
Glad I could provide some value!
I just released a female anatomical head figure on kickstarter
Thank you. Please share the link.

Nicely done. As the "everyday espionage" podcaster likes to say - stay the "dumbest" person in the room. Always learning
Well said. I agree!
In Tarot, the King of Clubs would be element of fire just FYI. you may have already gotten that comment before. Nice job! I love my gouache ❤ new sub
Thank you for the sub! When researching for the project, I pulled pieces from various genres. The fire element was interpreted through the physical cost for Clubs using magic. It burns them.
Nice!!!
Thanks!
I'll be getting 4 decks myself Rich
Awesome! Thank you!
FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!!!! So gorgeous!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!! I can’t wait to get mine!
You da best! Thanks!
I want a set so bad!!!!
We will have to make it so!
This is fun…..you really should find someone to interview though…..🤣
Yes Abby… I know 😔
Is there a art of Greg Capullo book? He’s besides Jim Lee and Tony Daniels is my favourite artist because he has such dark looking art like it always looks like a horror and I like that gory style
There is a Greg Capullo book. I don’t own it but I will link it here for you! Let me know how it looks if you pick it up. amzn.to/3CXE166
Use a metal body sharpener with a good sharp blade and turn the sharpener around the pencil not the pencil in the sharpener .
Excellent point... pun intended!
Very Nice Cards!
Thank you!
My contact 24 connects to my Mac but not to my pc
You may need to utilize some different cables. I thought I remembered various connections included... I could be wrong on that.
I've been using Prismacolors for decades. If they are new, they usually don't break, unless they've been dropped. If they are old, they probably kind of dry out over time. I dropped almost all of my blue Prismacolors. I need to try this.
Let me know if it works for you!!
Does this tablet+ stand still cause neck pain after extended use? Screen tablets were causing me neck pain, I tried fixing my posture but I could never really zone in when I’m drawing because I constantly had to focus on keeping my back straight. I tested the 24inch tablet at a local Best Buy and it’s huge but I’m still unsure if ill get wrist pain from having it propped up too high or neck pain if I angle it too low lol lmk how you’ve been feeling about the tablet so far fam.
I would think that this is more about the stand than the tablet. The stand I reference in the video is amazing! Because you can position it with ease. This can help alleviate staying in the same posture for too long. Hope that helps.
Hello thanks for your video. What would you recommend for a pretty beginner ?
I think it greatly depends on your ultimate goal or motivation for studying the figure. For example, I would recommend very different paths to a fine artist vs someone who wants to draw comics/anime. What is it you are looking to do?
@@diligentvisual2086 hi thanks for your reply. im quite motivated and want to learn realistic drawing ( mostly human anatomy);looking for a nice step by step book which will give a solid foundation. many thanks
thank you a lot for this !
Thank you for watching. I am glad you found some value in it.
Looks amazing! Super jealous, I'd love a little studio like this
Thank you so much for this! It was helpful for me. It's a buy!
This is great!
