  Messaged the restaurant. And found out why I couldn't even access their website. They apparently have software that blocks non US IP addresses😢. But apparently, they will pass on my comments to their website people. Hopefully that will change. Especially for people who have food allergies, so need to see a restaurant menu to be sure they can actually eat there

  Hey Christy, always love your quick reviews. I had a lack-luster second reading quarter. But I'm kind of on a crusade to hype up J Bree's "The Throne of Honor and Blood". I don't usually rate books 5 stars, and I think this is the only romance novel I rated 5 stars this whole quarter (I did rate "Animal Farm" 5 stars but that is definitely a different genre). If you haven't already read it I HIGHLY recommend it!! I loved the world building - that the forests each have their own identities and coven personalities. I loved learning more about Rooke's family and history. I loved watching Soren and Rooke opening up to each other and leaning on each other. It was such a beautiful adult relationship unlike some more YA books in the same genre (hm hm the everflame series completely turned YA and boring for me). So anyway, I highly recommend. I'm also reading the Off balance series now and it is totally addicting but I'm sure you've read it by now... It's good but sometimes I want to throw the book on the floor and stomp on it...

  Oooh good to know! I haven’t picked up that J Bree series yet but I’ve heard good things about book 1, it’s on my endless TBR 😅 Off Balance is a series I’ve never read actually 🤭! I don’t think it will be for me 🙃, but I know so many friends who love it.

  My favorite, F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E, by LK At the end when they are finally together and she is so terrified at showing herself but Mckenna's love is too unconditional to tolerate that! And the secondary romance is definitely a foil of the primary romance. As I reread it many times, the secondary romance springs more and more nuggets for me. Kleypas does demonstrate an example where the primary romance is not taken away from.

  This season felt like romance written by a person who has never read romance and is writing what they think romance is. If I am being generous I can appreciate that they tried to give the women more 21st century agency than one might traditionally find in regency romance, but it feels like it was at the expense of Colin's character. Why can't we have both?! The new showrunner needs to hit up Emily Rath who manages to write poly stories in regency settings with characters that still have autonomy and contribute to the storyline.

I loved Ensnared by the Werewolf. I am looking for more novella type options, not series. I always get lost in the story with the series, too much information for my ADHD head!😅
