You get out what you put in, but you also miss out on what you neglect. Gotta find that balance.
The calculation of Mookie Betts' 12.5% chance of hitting a home run is off. You can't add these probabilities. If he has a 5% chance of hitting a home run on any given plate appearance, and he has ~2.5 to go, you want (1-P[no home run in 2.5 appearances]). That's 1-(0.95)^2.5 = 12% . Not too far off in this case, but that kind of miscalculation could hurt you in many scenarios. The logic is: if we just added the probabilities, then after say 25 plate appearances, we'd erroneously be estimating his probability of hitting at least one home run as 25*5% = 125%, when it's really 72.3%.

Parlays are loser bets in the long run.
Absolute worst bet- parlays. It’s a sucker’s choice, and the fact that the sportsbooks keep promoting SGP and other parlay types… is the proof of it. Don’t play their game.

Fliff has definitely been profitable for me this past year as I started my betting journey this year. However, I am an arb bettor mostly and am technically down on Fliff about ~$100 all time but recently learned that the sweepstakes model doesn’t really care about your P&L for taxes, and rather treats everything you have ever withdrawn as income. This was annoying to learn because before I knew this I would go through the play through requirements with arbs and then withdraw 200/300 at a time and redeposit to take advantage of the %10 rebate they give back. Wish I had known the tax structure of these sweepstakes books prior to employing this strategy. Now have to pay taxes on a book i havent even made money on technically as an arb bettor

I very regularly find 2% holds vs Fanduel or Draftkings. After Fliff's $5 bonus per $100 purchase plus credit card cashback, you can easily find 3-5% arbitrages
Their holds are absurd...that's why competition is a good thing. Fliff will need to adapt.

When i explain my strategy to anyone who bets regularly they always laugh and tell me it can't work however it works for me. I apply the martingale roulette strategy to sports betting, so I basically look for anything which is an even money bet, I don't care what sport it is and bet £5 on it, if it loses I look for another even money bet and double my stake to £10 and just keep doubling until one wins and I'm £5 up.

The Martingale strategy can sometimes work on certain betting trends that are consistent. But give yourself a maximum bet. I give myself a 3 bet max.

It's likely that I'm slitting my own throat a bit but..... Ordinarily, I would totally agree that parlays are something only Mike "the Mouth" Matasow subscribes to as a successful way to go - for some reason during international tournament soccer though..........there are soft spots and "Betmgm" will let you cash out early on them and give bonuses on top that boost percentages - so just make a whole bunch of 50 cent parlays and sometimes the numbers potential to earn are appx as high as 20k per 7-10 variables contained....all one is doing is round robin weighted towards what one thinks they know with regards to the timings involved in international soccer.....I made 3500(total investment 500) on the men's world cup and 1500(total investment 500) on the women's WC ALL ONLY FROM 50 cent parlay wagers...HOWEVER, this all could change on International soccer tournies going forward where there is a group stage and knockouts....it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out! To my chagrin, I've gone from an online pokerstars grinder with an ROI of 8-9 respectable % to someone saying this in the comments section - but it is working this year on the Euros/Copa America again! Feedback? I should have not said anything because I've never heard of anyone else doing it....but....see what you think - with a spreadsheet holy shit it'd be even easier honestly - once one LEARNS accurately(or their perspective matches up somehow)...
