Like Black Bear Pass, Imogene Pass and so forth, But nothing like this or anything else you might find in Moab. Fins and Things is a great trail to get started on when expanding your rock crawling knowledge and skill. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Thanks to videos like this and the overuse and misuse they fuel, the BLM is currently implementing a travel plan in this area that will shut down more than 40% of roads in this area. The social media sphere and irresponsible and perspectiveless transplants and tourists couldn’t just go and enjoy quiet places quietly like the locals do … had to advertise places without the infrastructure to handle mass numbers of people for personal gain online. Get while you can, I guess … these places are about to be shut down, thanks to people like you and posts like this one. 🤷‍♂️

    Hello thanks for watching and commenting! I’m sorry I don’t have a GPX file to share. It was before I started recording our path on Gaia Gps. Most of the first have of the video is on the eastern side of Lake Jocassee ending at the lake on Bootleg Rd. The rest is quite a bit north in the Linville area off of Old Hwy 105 as we were trying to out run weather.

We currently have a Topo 2 being built and chose not to purchase the recommended refrigerator, we already have an Iceco VL45 proS and are planning on using it in our Escapod as you have, did you have to do anything besides removing the corner caps of the refrigerator to make it fit in the opening on the factory slider?

    I like the fiberglass body as long as you don't puncture a hole in it offroad, escapod has clean up all exterior add on it's side but i do like the look of some add on accessories, also cedar ridge camper makes a one piece camper that has the spare tire mounted over wheel fender xtra large entry doors a pull out kitchen no ac mounted only hole that you can run a portable ac hose to , not a bad trailer , starting at 33k that can put you over 40k ouch , but there are so many high end offroad campers to choose from arb earth camper really nice 49k wow it has so much to offer i love to own it but the main question is on any offroad trailers how often are you going to use to justify the cost , with today's jeep wrangler, forc bronco, land rover defender to just name a few 50k & up on top of a offroad camper how can anyone afford it without staying broke, one way is to rent out you trailer or start a business renting offroad trailers and stll have the same experience as other people pay for it , warren buffet said buying a private jet are very stupid purchase so he own a private jet company can go anytime he wants while his customers pays the jets off i do really like the escapod trailer but i like the arb a little more but for not im building out my Mercedes Benz sprinter van and using my rooftop tent on my offroad vehicles 😊

Great views, I'd like to find a similar spot close to this. If we had to pick, would you recommend the East side or the West side? Thank you.

  • @GetOverItOutdoors
    @GetOverItOutdoors4 ай бұрын

    I think you love it there. So amazing. When we hit the rim we went west and a ways out on that trail til we found the peninsula/point we camped on. Check out Google Earth and follow the trail west and look for the narrow point towards the end, that’s where we camped. I don’t wanna put the coordinates here. To be honest, though anywhere along, the rim would be considered a epic campsite. We did not go east, but I heard that can be just as amazing.

    Love the portable solar generator idea! Do you think you could fill up your trailer batteries from empty with that setup? How many hours would you say you could possibly get out of your air conditioner?? And does it cool the cabin down nicely?? 😊

  • @GetOverItOutdoors
    @GetOverItOutdoors4 ай бұрын

    It will replenish about 3/4 of the trailer battery power but I don’t empty the solar generators all the way. I use one to power our 2nd fridge inside the jeep. The a/c depletes the batteries down to about 25 to 35%. Depending on outside temp and also what we set the thermostat at. The a/c will definitely cool the inside no problem so far. Waiting for July or August in the FL humidity and I’ll do a video on it and how it does.

  • @davidhunternyc1

    I love the stargazer window but does it leak or is there condensation in the winter? I suspect that the window could be a point where problems happen? Also, I noticed your friend's Defender at 15:08. Would they say that it's been reliable? I love Defenders but I heard they are nightmares and break constantly, sometimes when brand-new. Oh, my other question is about your A/C. I've been reading other reviews and apparently you can't run it all night when it's hot, perhaps a maximum of a few hours only. Is this true? Are you still glad you got the A/C or do you prefer the simplicity of a fan?

  • @GetOverItOutdoors
    @GetOverItOutdoors4 ай бұрын

    We absolutely love the stargazer window and had no problems with it at all. There is a large flanged automotive link seal all the way around the opening. I don’t how water could ever make it over that seal. Condensation-we have not noticed any. On cold night with the heat on the upper vents blow warm dry air across the window and eliminates any moisture that may occur. So far so good. Our Friends defender so far has been problem free. I ask them everytime I see them because I too have heard about them begin an endless string of problems. They had theirs almost 2 yrs. The A/C it has always gotten us through the night on battery. For us it has taken them down to between 25-35% battery left. We have not yet run it in the full heat of a Florida August night yet so an update may be coming. We normally set the thermostat at 72 and the fan on 3 and that’s great for us. Hopes this provides some answers. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • @davidhunternyc1
    @davidhunternyc14 ай бұрын

    @@GetOverItOutdoors Well thank you for answering all of my questions! So nice of you. Hmm... one night of A/C and it drained the battery down to 25-30%? Yikes, doesn't sound good BUT I haven't lived with it like you have. On hot, humid Florida nights, no fan is going to help. It will be great when you do an update. There have been other portable A/Cs that have come to market that could be used with your trailer. I wonder if they would be a better option for most people. I live in the Northeast so most of the time, an A/C wouldn't be needed but traveling around the country would be a different story.
