I assume you cannot buy Thai property on this visa?
You can buy property in Thailand by setting up or taking over an existing company. Still not exactly sure how it works but I will be interviewing my friend soon who recently bought a new villa in Samui. Stay tuned..
This didn't tell much about what the business does or specifics. What was the point of the interview?
We discussed this also in quite a bit of detail but those parts weren't included into the video interview since it was mostly intended to promote what I'm doing and my channel. More info on their website for those who are interested.
@@AbroadInThailand Thank you for the clarification.
@@Jersey2WorldTravels You're welcome
buddy good vid
Thanks bud, glad you liked it. I enjoyed making it
I'm doing similar, but instead of the beach i'm using pool and Garden :) have a nice day!!
Cheers
Only ever driven down there I a taxi, anything going on there at night?
Not a lot going on at night. The beach road is more lively.
just because the thai government "announces" a new regulation..... it does not guarantee that the regulation is real or respected .....usually they are not real until royal assent...and even then.........
We will find out for sure soon enough. Doing my border run to Malaysia tomorrow.
@@AbroadInThailand well so far in BKK airports the reports are that only 30 days are stamped today......
I will be very surprised to see these changes. Border run companies and local immigration offices will lose lots of money because of it.
It's happening, don't you worry
I have minimum 2 mil reach per day but my country isn't monitized sadly .I post memes and reels .
Wow that's amazing!
Where are you located?
You always have great info x
Thank you so much! I do my best to provide accurate up-to-date information about all things Thailand.
Very slick video Mike - really nice production 👍
Thank you! Credit for filming, production, and editing goes to my friend Thomas sitting to the left of me during the interview.
My husband and I are from San Diego California and is the new 60 upon arrival? We like to come every year from Mid Jan to March every year and this new Visa may really help us.
Yes you're good to go! 60 days visa exempt to enter Thailand starting today.
Cant wait to return in January..thanks@AbroadInThailand
@@mystictraveler6228 Awesome. I'm excited for you!

Very nice and motivational interview 😊
So glad you enjoyed it! Really happy with how it turned out. This was a collaboration with my friend Thomas.
Ball park total figure: how much does it cost($) to fly-stay-fly w/60d stay?
I would say around 80,000 Baht or $2,200 and you can do it for a lot cheaper
Thai kitchen that you passed on 13 minutes does really good food . She also does cooking lessons I’ve seen really good reviews about them but no videos unfortunately!! Hint hint 😉
Yeah I've eaten there once or twice. Should go more often. Very good food.
This was a great video, I enjoyed you doing something different like this. You should definitely vlog your border crossing and the process!
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it. Will definitely vlog my border run this time with the new portable DJI Pocket 2.
I like walking videos and showing around. It's nice. Way too early, yes. Feels a bit lonely. Otherwise it's really nice to walk and talk us through the streets. Too noisy for staying right on the street in one of those guest houses. Where is your rental, somewhere peaceful and quiet? Where there is peaceful and quiet for good sleep but walking distance( maybe 15min.) to action like Chewang for instance? Thanks
Thanks appreciate the support!
You should try longan fruit. It's very delicious and not sold in USA.
I've tried it. Don't like it.
buddy good walk i did see a few new mitsubishi l 200 pick up trucks new cam is good
In Koh Samui too atm, I go for a walk on the beach, sometimes Lamai too, when I bump into you will say hi ;) Then breakfast, hit the gym Chaweng and work for the rest of the day. Also want to put in the meditation for the perfect morning routine but I am just too fucking lazy :D
We can grab a coffee in Lamai. Shoot me an email: linktr.ee/mikeholp
@@AbroadInThailand Thx Mike, feeling a bit sick now, when I feel better will text. Are you there every day for morning walk?
Top quality bro from Kristal and Karl New Zealand 🎉 we will be there in a few weeks hopefully can have a beer or coffee with u 👍
How is the weather today

August 2023
Great video quality. I'll be back in Lamai in 4 months😊❤

I'm still looking at the DTV, waiting for the final details. I'll be arriving at the end of October and leaving in early March.
Good plan. You will most likely need to open a bank account upon arrival to show the proof of funds for DTV Visa.
@@AbroadInThailand I've already got an account at SCB from my 10 years on an O-A visa. I just read somewhere that the DTV only requires proof of at least 500K in your own home bank account, you don't have to make a local deposit like the 800K I had to maintain for my O-A. I'll work on my application in a few days and I'll see.
I'm planning on returning to Thailand on Nov. 25th -- hoping to use the 60 day visa exemption, on a U.S. Passport. Flights already booked are 1-way into Phuket (from Seattle), then round trip flight OUT on day 58 -- Samui to Bali... for about 10 days. I'm hoping to book my return flight to the U.S. WHILE in Thailand -- but will be <30 days after my return from the "border bump" to Bali. My intention is to hop a flight from Samui to Chiang Mai (first time there) and then return home via Bangkok -- probably about mid-February. My question: This would be the first time entering Thailand WITHOUT a pre-booked RETURN flight -- essentially just a pre-booked, round-trip "border bump" to Bali within the 60 day period... ...Does this pose any potential concerns for with immigration upon entry? ...or would it be wiser to have my final "return" flight already booked -- but KNOWING that it would be >60 days out? Seems like this might only serve to ADD to confusion upon entry... but not sure. I would, of course, have my ultimate EXIT flight FROM Thailand booked by the time I leave for the side-trip to Bali. So upon return FROM Bali, I'd already have proof of an exit flight. ...just not before INITIAL entry into Thailand on Nov. 25.

im flying on 17th when i get 60 days i will be so happy man :D
Awesome. Excited for you man. Let me know how it goes!

How are you able to live in Thailand? I heard Thai and Vietnamese government are kicking expats out, or at least Thailand wants to make it harder for foreigners to come in. How are you able to stay?
Currently doing visa runs
I was there at the end of COVID, almost deserted. Glad to see it's boucing back.
Definitely coming back to life
