What is the actual height of the spacer in the 2.5in lift kit? Also how does adding more air volume with the volumetric spacer actually work with the air strut?
Is this a mix of turbo and na Cayennes? Any advantages to either or for off road?
Jeep : we own the off road Toyota: we never break Porsche : hold my beer !
You can do imogene pass in a car, its not a hard trail
Very cool guys! I have a FJ Cruiser and 2020 Revel. Your Cheyenne very impressive. Thanks you entertained me and impressed 😅
Cool ❤
Can you upgrade any year and can you use these parts for a Touareg.
Sedona for a proper test.
For the cayenne with the red livery on the side, is he running a center air duct? The reason I ask is because I am building a 957 and it needs new air ducts although I can't decide if they are totally necessary since I will be installing a Baja style front end
Yes it was. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oZedqbqKeNTTZbw.html This video should help explain why.
Thanks I'm definitely sold now on sourcing new air ducts. It just sucks because they are so expensive and I haven't found any used ducts in near North Carolina. Either way, thanks for the clarification! Just gave you guys a follow
Cool! Great wishes from Russia!
are those engines 3.2 VR6 or 4.0 V8?
V8
Learned something new about my 955T.😉
I like that the winch was nicely tucked in so lower bumper wasn't gone. That saves the 1st gen Cayenne maw.
BS, it failed because he entered the water way to fast. Just lost all respect for your company.
What?!?
Are all ride hight adjustments still available via the toggle switch in the vehicle?
Yes they are! You also have the consistent lift heights through all the levels.
You should plan a trip for all Overland Porsche Cayennes nation wide annually. I would do it in heartbeat. Well....... Just as soon as I start building my 958 out. Looks like yall had a great time!
Such a cool adventure.
Respect where respect's due - these are genuinely challenging trails and Cayenne were truly impressive here.
Next time you should air down. Would help a lot with crawling these rocks. Nice Videos. Love that some people know how good a porsche cayenne or vw touareq could be. Greetings
this is fantastic. gorgeous vehicles. i am getting a 2013 GTS and i am next on that road! ps: funny how this video is about the cayennes and how off road capable they are, all the while a like 25 year old F250 is also up there, minding its business. 🤣
So this is normal for a 55k mile car?
Wouldn't say normal necessarily but unfortunately it's not uncommon.
does it work as a primary air compressor for suspension as well? or it's additional ?
The ARB compressors are only rated to 150psi. The air suspension system is rated for 200psi plus. We have used the Viar compressors and used them for the primary air suspension as well. We will be releasing a kit for the Cayenne air suspension systems to add onboard air and backup compressors for the air suspension systems.
nice cars in nice places, gratz guys
Like what your doing with the rear diff locker and traction control!
turn the wheels straight....
what tire size you've guys? 285/65/18?
The green (lilpiggy) has 33x12.5 R18, the grey (wilbur) has 285/70 R18, the berg branded (warthog) has 275/70 R18, Harrison's (all Black) has I believe 32's on 18's.
Porsche safari top❤❤❤
Did you have sway bars installed?
Three of the vehicles had sway bars installed, Lilpiggy (green one), Warthog (berg branded), Wilbur (grey one) has disconnecting sway bars from the factory(PDCC), and Harrison's the full black one didn't have sway bars installed.
how to maintain the coolant in a good temperature , what kind of mods that you guys done?
We have since installed a CSF radiator in Warthog, that has helped the recovery time by nearly 25%. We have another version of this radiator dropping in the spring that will have increased cooling benefits as well! Keep on the look out!
thanks for your reply@@BergPeaks
Great content! If you are going to a lift upgrade, are you better getting a Cayenne without air suspension?
It depends on what you are looking for tbh. We prefer the air suspension vehicles, because we love how they drive on road. With our lift you can also get a more comfortable ride off-road with the extra air volume as opposed to a traditional puck lift.
sounds great! @@BergPeaks air suspension is really great, and on g1 cayennes it's strong as well.
@@BergPeaksagree..I much prefer the air on my s then the coilovers on my turbo
Does “Wilbur” still have its OEM turbo S brakes on it? Interested if those Nomad Copperheads in 18” are clearing the 380mm calipers, I’ll buy some right now if you say yes.
No Wilbur's brakes have been downsized to fit 17" wheels. We have confirmed that the 18" nomad Convoy wheels fit over the Turbo S brakes, but we have not confirmed that the 18" Saharas will fit. We assume they will, but we haven't confirmed it.
If anyone is interested, the nomad Sahara wheels DO indeed fit over a 2009 cayenne turbo’s 380mm red brakes.
Impressive, need one of these 😵
We need more for the Touareg and the Audi allroad as well
are the main pairs in a locked gearbox and a non-locked gearbox interchangeable?
That was wild :) I thing Cayenne will be my next car...
Will the factory lockers still work if you swap out air for coils?
Yes they should be able to. It will require coding and retrofit harnesses. There will be another option coming out in the spring.
Lmao why bother? Porsche does not go off road lol
We prove that is simply not true. Check out the rest of our videos!
And LMAO because clearly you have no clue what you are talking about. These Cayennes and Touaregs have tons a KZread videos to set you straight. 😂
As a Porsche owner I am enjoying your videos. Nice to see that Porsche can tackle the same trails that Jeep can. Nice video. Thanks 😎
They are amazingly capable vehicles and so much fun to take off-road!
I miss my v10 Touareg sooo much :(
They are awesome vehicles!
❤ what size is the wheel???? and do you have spacers? What ???
Which Cayenne, they all have different sizes.
...the cayennes have leaf springs!? ;- ()
Epic lads 💪🏾
Any tips on how to pick one that isn't going to screw you with bore scoring?
My friends had a gen 1 turbo, check oil in coil pack
Generally speaking we haven't seen bore scoring issues in the 955's and after 2009 they seem to drop off dramatically.
Great videos thanks! Awesome job crossing that river @harry.schoen!
Thank you so much!
Awesome to see the Cayenne’s on this terrain. Continuously impressed with their capabilities.
Great vids! Definitely good sales pitches for your products. I've got some technical questions - you don't have subframe drops, how does that do with the stock axles at full air? How hard is the air bag extension for a relatively decent diy wrencher to install?
For the 2.5" lifts we do include a required 1/2" subframe drop with incorporated subframe centering feature. We recommend having a professional shop do the install, but if you are mechanically inclined, it is something you can do at home. The hardest part for a DIY'er would be notching out the shock hat, which requires non ferrous metal carbide cutting bits.
Great video series! I hope you do more of these or at least keep the videos coming to help grow this community.
Our goal is to do a couple big trips a year and have a video series to go along with it!
What a great series. You guys did a great job out there, and you'll certainly be landing yourself at least 1 new customer (me). I loved watching you guys push Cayennes further than we thought they were capable in most cases. Congrats on the badges!
Thanks we appreciate that! This is the best community, welcome!
Best episode of the series by far!
Thanks buddy!
I drive 2006 Touareg 4.2 , 2 in lift w/ Bilstein struts 275 65 18 Goodyear Wrangler dura trac tires, lighting package, roof rack, driven all over the great basin. Sierras, white mountains, Mojave desert......named cayenne crusher.
How much trimming in the fenders/rockers did the 275/65's need to clear?
