Bullfrog Airguns

Bullfrog Airguns

Hey! What's up everyone?!? I'm Jeremiah AKA Bullfrog. My channel started out reviewing random Airguns and related products. As my journey has taken me pretty far up until now, my channel objective has also changed. Any reviews from here on out, will be on products that I personally use. I am still unpaid and unbiased in my reviews. Which is why I want to showcase the products I love. I will also be focusing on my journey as a newbie in the competition world. I'll also fit in as much hunting as possible. If you're still reading this, you're a true Bullfrog Airguns fan and I greatly appreciate every one of you! This all started out of boredom during the pandemic and has turned into a lifestyle filled with great friends and loads of learning experiences! Thank you again for following along with Bullfrog Airguns!!!🤙🤙🤙

Hey there! At the time of this video, I was unaware of the issues with the safety and the spring. The night before a competition I went to switch to a Form pistol grip. There was no hole in the grip for the spring. I messed it up before I figured out the issue. AOA had my back the next morning and had it shooting somewhat. They ended up having to take it in to recalibrate the safety switch. I need to make a video highlighting all issues I have dealt with to help others from making the same mistakes!🤙🤙🤙

Im about to pull the trigger on an Alpha Wolf Safari. I try to contact Daystate via mail to ask them a couple questions about the twist rate of the barrel and performance with slugs. No answer… even the Daystate dealer here in The Netherlands has no answer. Seems like Daystate don’t want to sell me a rifle. Think im going for the Scout Epoch.

  • @BT-st4ho
    @BT-st4ho5 ай бұрын

@@bullfrogairguns yes you got a point. When you buy a Daystate you know it’s going to perform, competition proves it. They won’t have any teething problems. But the art barrels that Daystate is using aren’t optimized for shooting slugs due to their choke (for what I’ve read online). Skout coms with a slug liner very soon and the fact that it’s a hammer-less system is very appealing to me. I think Skout has a lot of potential but right now It’ll be wise to go with the Alpha Wolf and shoot heavy pellets. Have you tried slugs in your alpha wolf?

And as for me that wooden stock I don't want to take it out hunting and get it all scratched up . The Delta Wolf is 90% metal. It's like a Timex it takes a licking and keeps on ticking . As much money the Alpha Wolf cost I would be afraid to take that out in the field . I think that the Delta Wolf is made for hunting not the Alpha Wolf .

Hi Jeremiah, I message you sometime back when I purchased a Milano T2. I had a bad barrel and a leaking main tube. Anyway I have since purchased an replacement barrel and this past Monday I was able to get the cylinder leak fixed. Now I am looking to see if I can get a little more power out of it. I am only shooting 14 .3 crosman hollow points, which surprisingly are not to bad for accuracy, but tops out at 880,890fps. My transfer ports are well aligned so thats not an issue. And I don't really want to open my ports due to the fact its not regulated, but If I can get it shooting accurately, why not put one in.I know you probably have moved on from these guns but any help would be truly appreciated. Oh,I also wanted to mention when I received it it was only getting 800fps with 14.3 pellets, I have installed double springs for the hammer so I have seen some improvement in fps.

Thanks, man! Jeremiah, I think I might finally be on the verge of a break, though, with this air rifle, but it would be nice to talk with somone who has been in the same battles. I have made a single shot loader out of one of the original magazines, installed a barrel band, also had to do some work on the barrels breech end it was beveled in way to deep it had barely enough groove left to retain the barrel O-ring. I have resently read online that these air rifles might have a one in fifteen twist. Which would explain the poor accuracy with the slugs, or at least that is what I am thinking now.

I actually got mine at my local tractor supply too hehe. I think it was $119-$129 or something close to that. I'm sorta rural though so maybe that explains the price differences. I bought my Gamo from there too. Anyways.. here's my personal 2 week review lol. I agree with you with many points and I'll explain the only contention I have later. It is a very cool looking & feeling gun depending on ones subjective enjoyment. I do like the rail on it especially but it simply looks cool at the break. It's heavy, so heavy that I would only recommend it for a practice gun or for grown men shooting open sights short distance. One can use the weight to some advantage in oddball scenarios but for hunting, this gun is too heavy. I've found it to be fairly consistent and accurate. I like placing quarters in clips @25-30...-45 yrs. I can hit nearly as many with this as with my Gamo. I do love shooting. It is a therapy and an obsession with me. I see you guys are into that. I think it's worth the $ but only if you want it specifically, like I did. I think we are fortunate to have these very cool airguns at such prices in the first place but it's just one of those rare honest products of true sincere capitalism. Also thx for the reply 🤙😎

Hey Michael! Shooting is the best therapy in my opinion. I don't think about anything else when I'm shooting. Plus, I'm always focusing on breath control. Which is very calming to me. I see we've came to the same conclusions on this Ruger. I always say, every gun has its upsides and its downsides. I really like the look of it. The thing I like most about the gun are the sights. Break barrels should all come with iron sights in my opinion. I prefer open sights at closer range. Keep me posted on how you like the gun. I'm curious how it holds up over time compared to other people who have reached out. 🤙🤙🤙

My Air hawk elite 2 consistently breaks the sound barrier with plain Daisy lead pellets 1200 feet per second is not that unbelievable with this air rifle and tight fitting pellets. if I sand the point of the pellet down flat it "cracks" every time 1125+ fps with lead pellets

Hey Joe! Thanks for the view and feedback! Good to know your gun is reaching claimed speeds. How is your accuracy after sanding your pellets? Have you tried wadcutters instead?

@@bullfrogairgunsVelocity doesn't always equal accuracy with air rifles. With 177..there's a sweet spot between 850-900 fps.

Yo Michael!! Definitely true! Most people seem to focus on fps and getting the most possible speed. On my competition rifle (Daystate Alpha Wolf .30 & .25cal) I'm shooting 850 fps with my current tune. I'm dead accurate at 100 yards. I'm going to mess around and bring the speed up a little so I have less push from the wind. 🤙🤙🤙

Since when do you not slap a break barrel to break open the lock? Lock up is supposed to be tight. My Beeman is like that. Loose barrels are for losers IMO. And scope give aways are just a marketing ploy to help sales. $60.00 Tasco Air scope takes care of that problem. The barrel is the critical part. It shoots straight, or it does not shoot straight. Not impressed with Gamo for the prices.

LoL! Obviously you don't want a loose barrel. I was saying it was too much for a little 9 year old to be breaking it. And who said anything about scope giveaways?? This was a package deal. I'm confused by your comment.

I just got the Marauder in .22 it has a beautiful Turkish walnut stock, the wood was bone dry and I had to apply boiled linseed oil to it. Man when I added the oil the grain just jumped out at me. The rifle is super accurate and not pellet picky at all, I just love it💖👍👍 Using Crosman 14.3 grain Premier Hollow Points I put 5 shots you can cover with your pinky nail @ 25 yards. I have a Tasco AIR 3-7x32 A/O scope mounted on it. I can't say enough good things about the Air Venturi MK5 hand pump made by Hill, very high quality and it will pump my rifle from touching the yellow on the gauge to a tick before the red in 100 fairly easy pumps. Hope this helps somebody on the fence about buying one of these rifles, they are very high quality and very solidly built.

Hey Wes! Thanks for tuning in and your feedback! You can't go wrong with a Marauder! I'm going to try some linseed oil on mine and see how it comes out. Whenever I'm asked, " what should I get for my first PCP?" I always recommend the Marauder!🤙🤙🤙
