How approx. Could 98 toy camry v6 cat scrap wortb.. just need a guess
If it’s been replaced before an effort, aftermarket cat, then it’s probably only worth about 10 bucks or so, in scrap value.
If it’s an actual Toyota brand which should have numbers on it. You can go on this website and see if you can match the numbers that are in your cat with the numbers on the site to figure out the approximate value. You can check out the sleep below. www.converterguys.com/toyota-catalytic-converter-recycling-prices-by-number/
@@BrandonStunts thx alot. I looked around 50 bucks...
Can you also tell me How much could cost brand new CAT for my Camry 98 V6 for replacement..thks
I’m reading that if the pool has a vinyl liner you don’t need to hit 4 posts. Just one instead Also, drilled through the post would look way better than the flex conduit
I’ve never heard that. I do know if you have a resin pool / posts and rails you only need one point of attachment at the seam of the sidewall. But I’ve never heard it based off the lighter. Because if it’s metal, it has to be bonded and the bonding points are to go out to the rig on at what point of the pool it needs to exit.
And yeah, I agree. Drilling through the post is a cleaner way to do it, but we’ve always done them on jobs at shown in the video. Your way definitely looks better though
Great DIY video! Thank you
You are so welcome!
Very instructive
Thanks, that’s good to hear!!!
I like to eat cheese on Sunday's and Wednesday's but, it binds me up something fierce so i only have a little. The people at walmart say my mullet is sassy . I like to think it is also
You from PA?
I wish I had that at my house
This is awesome! I love it
Those 6x6 posts?
I found the answer in a comment, awesome building. Getting out of the army in a couple weeks and building something similar but much smaller on the family farm 👍
Good to hear. I’m not always the fastest to these comments lol. Thanks though! I think the buildings awesome as well, I’m 41 and it’s been pretty much a lifelong dream since a teenager have a shop area like this to work out of.
That’s awesome though! Wish I would’ve had it many years ago. Obviously found out that 6x6 was used, but good luck with your build. And most importantly, THANK YOU for serving 🫡 🇺🇸
Torque the lugs to the proper value is the correct way to land the wires
Yes, technically that is the correct way. The breakers should have torque specs on the breaker sticker, as well as the panel.
Do the post come pre made with the pressure treated on the bottom or do you sister them together yourself?
They come premade
I remember this ride. I see myself in the chicken suit at 1:25 haha. Weird... 14 or so years later and I decide to try and find a video of this ride and you were standing next to me lol
That was you, haha. Wow, that’s awesome and pretty crazy! Can’t believe it’s been almost 15 years!!! I miss those times for sure, was an awesome ride!!!
Great video 💯
Thank you!!!
Don't buy a Husqvarna saw they used to be good but now they are garbage!
Yeah! I’ll take My Stihl MS 261 over this Husqvarna any and every day of the week!!!
Looks great with the deck edge cantilevered. Would it be difficult to replace the liner that way? How about covering it in the winter?
Thank you! And yes it would be very difficult to replace the liner that way, but if you look at 6:07 in the video, we pull the top back to make sure it slides back so we can access the top rails for those exact things.
We built the top of that bench/platform completely separate, but not able to be seen once it was built. That way with 2 strong men, or an extra person or two the entire top of that bench can be pulled / slid back 4-6” to easily access the top rails for whatever would be needed. Technically, it could be pulled all the way off, but would take a lot more than a couple people to pick it up and put it back on.
Talk about dead standing! The split when it hit the ground was telling.
Yeah, it had a pretty solid base towards the bottom, but definitely wouldn’t have lasted much longer.
LoL...i just found it Thanks again
Haha, nice! You’re welcome, happy to hear and helped!!!
Any cool link to show me the correct way to wire up rhat bad boy? Total novice, trying to replace an old one. It looked like you had the same wires, 3 in and 3 out, i just missed the order Thanks and this was a nice tutorial on the function
Yeah, I have a video for that as well, but I see from the other comment that you already saw it. I’ll link it below here just in case anyone is looking through the comments with the same question. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ao2AzaZtnLfadpM.html
Kind of crazy my name is Brandon as well and you are dealing with the same thing as me lol. Guess this is a sign to do it this weekend.
Yeah, that is pretty crazy! Good name though lol. It definitely sucked, after the concrete was poured. I thought everything was done. Next thing I know lots of bugs and even mice are coming in. Something had to be done, so yeah, I guess it’s your turn this weekend lol.
today's price is $122. 3 years later, only $22 increase. Love the design. Good weekend project for my son and I . To compare to a wire rack system, this size will cost $300, but a lot easier to build.
Yeah, that’s actually not too bad, especially compared to how outrageously high some of things have jumped up. I think I built my first set around 2015 or 2016. Now I have four in my basement and three in my pole barn. Great shelves, and relatively simple to build. Just a little time-consuming. Not too bad compared to other projects though.
Would definitely be a good father-son project. There aren’t enough fathers teaching their sons how to work and do things or fix anything with their hands. I’m 41 and most of the kids half my age at work can’t even change a flat tire with their spare
Brandon....any chance you could give a rough cost for all that site work and fill ! Thanks
Yeah, but I did all the land clearing, site work, and finish myself (an Amish pole barn company constructed the building) and a friend of mine who owns an excavation business brought in and spread all the material for me at a discount i’ll list below.
He charged me $250 per tri axle load of fill dirt delivered dumped and spread. There were about 50 of them for the whole project, including more after the building was built for $12,500. There were 45 full tri axle loads of milling for $400 delivered and spread totaling $18,000. And there were 12 loads of topsoil at the end for $600 a tri axle load delivered and spread for $7,200.
So it was almost $38,000 in material delivered and spread. And that was just the rough spread getting it as good as he could with the skid steer. There was a lot of other mini excavator machine, work and hand raking I had to do to that material after he was done
Its good to have friends! Still a monumental project. Thanks for sharing
You’re welcome! And yeah, it was a massive project
I'm a bit surprised they poured the slab after the building was constructed.
I had the building built the week after Christmas. They said it was too cold to pour, but it would be better to wait and let the ground settle anyway.
The builder told me that the building always goes up first in these types of buildings, then the concrete gets poured after. The concrete gets poured up to a certain level of the building. If you skim through the full build video my pole barn build it shows all the prep and everything that was done in order to pour the concrete. Here it is below if you want to check it out. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aYqhl65rqbjLdNY.html
@@BrandonStunts Thanks for the explanation. I think the building turned out great. I've just not seen it built this way before.
Yeah, you’re welcome and thank you! I originally thought the concrete would be poured first because I’ve seen that in the past, but the builder said with these pole style buildings you always build first, and then pour up to the top of the bottom board
How long does it take for full charge
It’s a trickle charger, so it’s not a fast charge. The slower and lighter the charge the better it is for the battery and the longer the battery will last. That being said, it also depends on the size of the battery. A bigger battery will take longer to charge a smaller battery.
According to battery tender website it says fully discharged 15 Amp-Hour battery will take approximately 16 hours to recharge to 80% capacity. 15 amp power batteries are usually like a four wheeler, dirt bike or smaller motorcycle batteries
@@BrandonStunts I plugged it in at 5pm and it was done when I woke up the next day
I’m going to use it on a broken skillet handle? Whatdaya think?
It wouldn’t surprise me if it worked. The only thing that would make me worried would be the angle of the weight if you’re holding it by the handle, but I’ve seen JB weld do some pretty amazing jobs in the past, so it’s definitely worth a try
I got mine a couple years ago for Christmas and am using it for the first time today. I must say the instructions BITE! From what people are saying this is easy to use, basically hook it up and it will figure out the voltage, but i sure would like to ____ mae sure! Thanks for this upload
You’re welcome! And yeah, I know what you mean! I can figure out most of everything, but like you said some things you’re just not 100% sure on and the instructions aren’t much of a help
i gotta figure out where to get more of these I lit one and it was so loud it sounded like a bomb
Yeah, it was really loud. I wasn’t in such a rural area. The cops might’ve came lol.
Ive seen them around when they first came out before they got banned, but haven’t seen any in a while. A buddy of mine found a couple of these at a firework stand and gave me one. If you find them, I would buy them, definitely hard to come by these days.
Curious where you bought your led’s from. I have bought like 3 dozen of these from Amazon and they are junk. I have replaced every single one at least once and some twice and they are only months old. When they are working the light is excellent coverage but they just don’t last at all. I don’t run them much at all maybe they might get 10 hours of run on them before they burn out. Let me know how you have done with them and thanks for making the video
You’re welcome, and that sucks to hear about your lights. I got these lights off of Amazon. I have had to replace 1 burnout on so far, but I just checked my purchase date and it was June 2023. so just over a year of use, and I’m in this pole barn every day for at least a few hours or so.
The link to the lights should be in the description, but just in case they’re not here’s the link. I also have 4 of these in my 2 car attached Garage as well. They’ve been good for me so far. Maybe you got a bad batch amzn.to/3GoKdWg
Nice one mate! I’ll take one🤘
Haha, thanks! Love this bike!!!
One thing I would do differently, is keep a bucket nearby for scrap pieces to set aside and stay clean. I noticed everytime you cut up something there were copper parts on the table and they would go flying.
Yeah, it was a bit of a mess lol. That’s a good tip. Thanks, I appreciate it.
Could you tell me where this was please? Regards from Redcliffe Queensland Australia.
This was in Oley PA (Oley, Pennsylvania). This is the third largest antique swap meet in the states. It’s in the north east section of the country. It’s probably about halfway between Philadelphia and New York City, and an hour to the west. Reading Pennsylvania is the closest city it’s to.
And greetings by the way from northeast Pennsylvania USA. It’s pretty cool that these videos have the ability to reach people all around the world to share events and things like this
Thank you for the visit. Only good bike here.
You’re welcome, I agree!
Perfection 👍🏻
Yeah, it was an awesome bike ride!
That bike, is cooler looking than any bike at Born Free.
Yeah there are some nice bikes at born feee, but I agree this one was definitely set apart. Felt like it had to be shared
You’re talking about the “cookie cutter” with (a) Wassel tank (b) ape hangers (c) upsweep pipes (d) VL springer (e) 3’ tall sissy bar? That “bike”?
@johnkelly6942 no,the 51 pan in the very beginning of the video.
That car flex looks like dooky. Why not drill through the post and come into the back of the other box?
I guess that would be a pretty slick way to do it, but you’d have to drill a hole big enough for the half-inch male PVC connector to fit through. Probably a three-quarter inch, maybe even one inch hole. It might affect the entire of the post, or it might not really be a big deal. Idk, but I agree it would definitely be a much cleaner look.
Sweet bikes! Awesome video!!!
thank you! It was an awesome event. I would definitely recommend going if you ever have the opportunity.
@@BrandonStunts i’m not that close by, but it does look awesome. I would definitely like to check out an event like this out sometime. Great video again. I really enjoyed it!!!
Thanks for the video!
Your welcome! Happy to help!!!
Thank you. I've been scrapping for over ten years now. While I have a lot of knowledge in easy ways to clean metals, I'm glad there are still things left for me to learn. Most of this video was kinda "Yawn" for me. But I did learn that red brass isn't as red as I was led to believe oh so long ago. When I first started out I sold my scrap to a bootlegger. Who lied to me about a great many things. They also told me the truth just often enough to keep stringing me along. Anyway, now I'm the bootlegger. I like to think that I am fair in the prices I offer. Now I have to look into the red brass prices for my area. Thanks again. I'm always looking to expand my knowledge base.
Yeah, you definitely learn a lot over the years and I’m happy to hear it helped you out! A lot of scrap yards around me try to pay 1 brass price, a handful of them pay out red and yellow separately, while a couple other only will if you have it already separated and specifically ask. Although it’s always at their desecration. Out of the 2 main scrap yards I go to, the one never questions and just pay, they shift through it a little and says it’s good as red, but the other usually shoots it down and “no, that’s yellow” or “there’s some yellow in here so we’re paying it all out a yellow”. Theres definitely a lot of gray areas with brass scrap and it can vary from place to place. Thanks for commenting, it’s always cool to hear that it helped someone and to hear their stories
Love panheads thanks
Me too! And you’re welcome, there were a lot of beautiful pans there!
I have a 55 motor and matching trans. So I’ll definitely be posting some videos of that once the build begins.
Stupid question, why is a timer required?
Receptacles for pumps and motors must be located between 6 and 10 feet from the pool walls, and they must be GFCI-protected. I’m not sure if they’re required by Code to be on a timer, but a pool timer is generally part of the package
Pool pump timers help you to automate the times at which you turn on and off your pool pump. You can choose when the pool pump turns on, as well as how long it should stay on. This way it’s always running how you want it to at all times whether you’re home or not.
Panheads rule!
What’s the fan and heater core looking setup you have on there for?
Its designed for transmission, power steering and fuel cooling for hot rods, performance, and custom cars. In this case it's being used to cool the air to help get rid of moisture before. It goes through to the rest of the filters and eventually to a powder, coat powder, gun and sandblast gun, which you need very dry air like you would need for paint. Here's a link to it below amzn.to/3RLiSDD
If I use the terminal clips rather than the alligator clips, can I just keep the terminal clips on the battery and tuck it under the seat when not on charge?
Yes, at least that’s what I do. You can permanently screw them on under your battery terminal, and I usually just wedged the little connector piece between where the seat sits and the bike.
Very cear and simple explanation, thank you!
Great to hear! Your welcome, thanks for commenting to let me know
Sure would have been a better video with some commentary or at least a subtitle with prices and maybe a little explanation as to what we are looking at. Maybe you didn't know yourself, other than it being an old panhead?
That’s a good idea. Especially with the info that was on the tags and stuff on the bikes, like prices, year and stuff. Unfortunately, I only know as much as what was written on the bikes. Just getting into older Harleys. So it’s all new to me.
Not all of it is readable from the video, but if I have tied, maybe I’ll go back and remake it with some more details. Thanks for the input.
Brilliant video I was stuck in euro auction in Leeds UK today and couldn't find parking brake so you tubed it and your video came up watched it and I was away thank you
Thank you, and you’re welcome! I’m glad to hear that it was able to help you. Thanks for sharing
I would like to know how others attach the straps for the roller,
I couldn’t tell you. I tried a couple different rollers and they never worked. So I just folded up in the pool as I go and then pull it off at the end. If there’s any debris hose it off and re-fold it up and set it aside. And then put it back on later
subscribed!
Thanks! Happy to hear the video helps
great video thank you
You’re welcome, good luck with it all and hope everything works out for you. It’s not always easy but with KZread in the Internet, it could usually be figured out lol.
So much work for less than five dollars.how much less to just drop off the things whole
Most scrap yards pay whatever the lowest metal is that’s on it. In this case, it would be steel. So the ones around me only pay out $110 per gross ton (2240 lbs). Which breaks down to little less than five cents per pound. Probably only about 15 to 20 pounds. So probably a dollar or less. Some might give a little more have a separate price for coils, but not all.
I watched both of your bonding videos. Very helpful. I have an original model endless pool which is all metal. can the loop that goes around the pool connect just on one spot of the walls given it is all metal? I don't see the point of connecting it at 4 different spots given it is already skirted all around. What do you think?
The 4 points of bonding is required by code, but technically if all the metals connected together, one point should cover it, but code requires four spots. At least for my type of pool. As far as yours goes I’ve heard of those pools, but I’m not super familiar with them, and I have never bonded one of them. I do know however that there is a different binding for all resin pools, because the only thing metal is the wall. Those types have a special binding system with only one point of connection. Yours may be similar to that, but I’m not sure. With those there’s a bonding attachment that connects to the seam of the wall where it connects together. It doesn’t need anything else because nothing else is conductive. Everything else still needs to be bonded like skimmer, pump motor, and anything else metal within a certain distance of the pool.
So long story short. Bonding is an important safety step to protect people in and around the pool from shocks or possible electrocution. As far as yours goes if it’s not getting inspected, just make sure anything metal is connected to that bonding grid.
Technically if one metal connect to another metal that bond should transfer. So if everything is metal, you should be OK, but if it’s getting inspected, you’re going to have to do what the inspector wants you to do. It’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t pass the first time. They’ll usually tell you what they want and give you a chances to redo it until their satisfied
