This was sweet, but I am wondering why this sounded better to me when I played it (mistakenly at first) in B flat Dorian, than in B flat Mixolydian?
Like the Chromatic Mediant (Modal Interchanges) shifts .. really makes the melodies interesting..
The drumming reminds me of something in the style of Stewart Copeland. Very nice 👍
Nice. Somehow I ended up jamming with C tonality (ie C Mixolydian, of course, it's the same notes as G Dorian)
Brilliant track Tom!
I really like this track! Thank you!
Perfect timing! Thanks Tom, this is a good one.
Enjoy this Dorian backing track. Happy jamming! 🎶
This was perfect for practicing G Mixolydian all over the fretboard. Thanks!
Tear that fretboard up!
What’s that you say? ANOTHER bass solo? Well, if you’re sure…? Comin right up!
😂 More bass solos!
fits to Santana
NIce Track! Great fun to play B Mixolydian over too.
G major …
B minor …
Ab minor …
Hello, could I have your permission to use some of your tracks as background for some of my own utube videos? Would appreciate it, they’re great!
Yes, of course. If you can please link the original track in the description of your video. Please use it 🙂
@@tomsbackingtracks4523 will do, thanks 👍
So, I tried to put the link in the description, but it doesn’t show up in the short 🤔. So I then added it in the title with an @ symbol. That worked, but it looks like it didn’t connect to your site. Anyways, it’s up there…maybe if people like my video, they will notice your site also. But, I’m a small fish 🐠 in the utube machine 😂. Thanks.
@@GregMyser That's totally fine man. No problems
Verrrry nice Tom
Thanks Fred ;)

Another excellent track!
Thanks!
Playing a lydian does this mean I am playing e major scale
With the 4th note raised a half step...
It's all tying back to the half step interval both with the scale and the two major chords. Placed a half step apart. Causes them to resonate almost in a minor-esque type of resonance I believe it's because 8f the root of a chord modulates half a step. Than it's fair to say that the major third. Is also modulating and of course the difference between major chords and minor chords of the same root the.
Well I do believe the Phrygian would be a harmonically. Copacetic. Pairing
Nice. I like this one
Glad you like it!
Hope you all enjoy this Mixolydian backing track. Let me know what you think! 🎶
Tom Petty would of loved this one ☝️. Here comes my girl.

Chords, please.
Something like: Am7 - Bm/A - G/A. Maybe they're a bit different but it should be pretty accurate I think.
I'm hearing Am, Bm, and Am6. Most of the chords you hear in A dorian are going to be Am to D, Am to Bm. Next most common would be Am6 or A13 or Gmaj7 all of these have the f# in common. Many times you will also see 7th's in there as well.
What chord do u use ?
That switch from mixolydian Dorian and blues scale 🔥
Thanks for listening! Tell me what you think?
Really good tom 🎸🎸🎸

So excellent! I love your playing! Please do more
@@tomsbackingtracks4523 Thank you very much. Will try to do more 🙏🏼
Play e major scale
Love Phrygian, but if I can offer one thing - maybe the backing rhythm guitar could do with some effects, it's just a little bland and basic.
Yes, good suggestion! Thanks for listening 🙂
