  I wonder if it could have gone even faster with higher pitch props - they were on the rpm limit! Also that fuel economy is ridiculous hah, here that boat would cost just over £1000 an hour at WOT lol

  With 3 600 mercs you get less hydro drag, with the “same” hp, it will scream. Just wait for that set up to get rigged

  These motors seem a lot more efficient than the 2 V8 Johnson I had on my old Cougar MTR tunnel, those were thirsty.

  Amazing that a center console boat went from 85 MPH to over 104 MPH in just a few years. I run 44 MPH frequently in a CC and get passed by tri-toons on the ICW. I steer clear of those rednecks. Who needs a 450 Merc-R on a tri-toon? Good luck on them avoiding a giant island at that speed in a barge with a racing motor.

  I want to see the L6 vs the V10 now. It’s a shame that they’re 50lb heavier than the L6. Also, looks like there was more prop slip on the V8s did you run a calc on RPM vs speed for prop slip?
