The main appeal of knolling to me is the intricacy and thought behind laying out the objects, as well as being able to see the complexity of an object by breaking it down into its individual parts. It's a very physical, tactile thing, and the end result shows a lot of care and attention went into it. AI doesn't have any of these qualities. In the video you mention how AI has 'democratised' the practice of knolling, but knolling has practically no barrier to entry. If you have belongings you can knoll them. AI isnt knolling, even if it produced 100% photoreal images. I enjoyed the video aside from the AI stuff - it just seems so detached from the essence of knolling.

i would like to point out that it wasn't really bones who pioneered this style but it was the nü-metalcore group yuth forever with their song death and serenity, most groups coming from this genre where also using aesthetics that would inspire trap metal

As a metalhead i say trap “metal” isn’t metal it’s just rap music with a hardcore sound with to it. Which is not a bad thing i personally like it. Hardcore trap/trap “metal” is a good genre but metal heads wouldn’t consider it metal in fact some metalheads hates trap “metal”. Coming from a metal head it’s most definitely not metal. Metal vocals consist of mid screaming, fry screaming, low grows, gutturals, and pig squeals. And instrumental wise it consists of guitar, bassist, keyboards and drums. If we’re talking about combining heavy metal with trap music it would have to be have all the elements from both genres so like you would have add guitar and drum riffs as well add not just hardcore vocals but other forms metal vocals like death metal/death core low grow, gutturals, fry screaming, mid scream and also forgot to add siren screams too. And than you would add both rap and metal flow ass well trap lyricism to the mix. But most trap “trap metal”/hardcore trap rappers don’t do that so it’s won’t be considered a sub genre of metal but a sub genre of trap music.

I think he meant as in production wise. But although it’s not complex or groundbreaking production wise. The messages in most of the midville era tracks are what carry them. This just goes to show even without otherworldly production Teezo’s penmanship and delivery are what stands out and this is a good thing.
