This reeks of desperation. First, you play a video from The first year of Trump’s presidency, which you also make your clickbait title. Then, you missed the obvious sarcasm from Mr. Sowell. He hasn’t changed his mind here about Trump’s immaturity at all. He is amazed at how mature Trump used to be, you know… when he was voting as a liberal Democrat. So he is clearly being jovial, not sincere. I’m sure Sowell would prefer a Trump administration over a Biden administration. So I would like to understand how, considering that the Biden administration‘s economic policies have only re-enforced the standards of the Trump administration considered a great economy. No, they’re not exactly the same politics, but the system of measurement in terms of what constitutes a “good economy”, we are maintaining or doing better than we were before Covid. Despite inflation. Covid, being the cause of the global inflation that we’ve been dealing with so far rather than anything Bidens administration’s policies have caused as Republicans would likely say. I would be interested in what Thomas Sowell said about that, and if it was at all meaningful.

I hate Marmite (yeasty flavour). I hate mixer taps (I've had them removed and replaced with two taps throughout my house). I hate tea (but it should be made with the milk added last). I can't understand regional accents so just nod and smile when talking to someone from another county or country within the United Kingdom. I'm English so hate the fact that my Passport declares me to be "British". I still use Imperial measurements for baking, buying petrol, getting weighed or measured for clothing, distance, etc. (I have no idea about litres, kilos, centimetres, kilometres, et al). I still measure temperature in Fahrenheit. It took me a good 15 years to learn to count money using the decimal system - I was so used to using Pounds Shillings and Pence! (Yes, I'm that old, lol). I love baked beans. I'm having some for my tea (which is our evening meal, commonly known as "dinner" throughout the rest of the world). Our "dinner" is what other countries would count as lunch! (We have breakfast, dinner and tea. Older Brits may have breakfast, elevenses, dinner, high tea, tea and possibly supper. Confused? You should be, lol!)

Why does he keep using kilometers when in the UK we use miles to express distance? The video gives no real explanation of why these places are considered especially poor or what criteria were used to select these 10 places as the 'poorest' in the UK. The video shows no scenes of actual poverty or deprivation and some of the places shown actually look very nice (3.06 for example).

This is brilliant comedy/satire! The idiot prime minister who says it straight and doesn't even understand that everything he says is racist/criminal/etcetera, combined with his special adviser who had come with the racist, corrupt and definitely not-so-legal idea, and then has to try to walk back everything the PM has said. So funny! PS. Don't feel sorry for the special adviser, or fixer, as he is the Pena the PM always refers to as the man behind the ideas...

Pena is a common name for a man. The prime minister refers to a man in his team, I guess, a man called Pena. Kind of showing the lack of independence of thought (Pena came up with the thought). And, I think that this is how politicians work, the more power they have, the greedier they get. The whole political scene is based on doing services to a colleague and the service is expected back once the power shifts. People with ethics are soon smoked out from politics.

Most politicians forget that they are elected to represent the people that voted them to govern the country, yet, once elected, they believe that they have a RIGHT TO LINE THEIR OWN POCKETS. But how many of them really know how economics function. If not they should read all the important books on the subject like those written by Professor Thomas Sowell.

He is saying that Nordic refers to just Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and the Faroe Islands (but not Finland)? And that Scandinavia is that plus Finland? It is actually the other way around. Nordic is a predominantly geographic term and refers to all the countries of the northern European area....Finland included. Scandinavia usually refers to Norway, Sweden and Denmark and is more of a cultural/ethnic term given the genetic, linguistic and cultural similarities among those countries. Sometimes people also include Iceland and the Faroe Islands as part of Scandinavia given similar strong cultural/linguistic similarities. But the main point is that Nordic is a geographic term and Scandinavia is more of an ethnic/cultural term. (By the way, Finnish people are (at least historically) more ethnically similar to some Siberians, Estonians and Hungarians and really don't share a lot of historic ethnic ties to Sweden/Norway/Denmark..other than the western part of Finland was always predominantly Swedish until the last century or so, which is why both Swedish and Finnish are official languages in Finland.
