    Because only a few groups that practice sanda for hobby, the rest who go to training school for professional. The middle range of people are not joined to this sport at all.

    Hey coach! Did you see Islam vs Poirier? Islam did what everyone is calling an ankle pick. But I recognised it from your golf club tai chi leg swing thing haha. Islam been watching your tutorials

  • @RamseyDewey
    @RamseyDewey8 сағат бұрын

    An ankle pick is something a little different- attacking the ankle when it’s on the ground. I have several tutorials on various ankle picks if you want to learn it. Or check out Cael Sanderson’s wrestling career. I can’t think of anyone better at ankle picks than he was. The golf swing is a single leg finish for when you already have the leg, it’s elevated, your opponent’s captured leg is straightened out, usually by your opponent’s attempt to move away from you in an effort to escape. You might notice Poirier not only straightened his own leg by moving backwards facilitating the golf swing, but he also tried to spin out of it, which (1) made the landing a lot harder than it should have been, and (2) caused him to land with his head right next to Islam, this fascinating the D’arce choke finish.

    In an all out no rules fight, I think Bruce would win because he was training techniques and ideas that are banned in combat sports. He described his training as "efficient street fighting with everything goes, wearing head gear, gloves, chest guard, shin/knee guards, etc." and Dan Inosanto in 1970 described jkd sparring as "vicious but polished street fighting."

    Why experienced people do not have the urge to train for certain jobs, certain careers where combat is something that might happen, like being bouncers, body guards, military personell, even careers in the private sector, and instead just train to "protect themselves" is beyond me. Each to their own I guess. Personally, I just wanna be a good Army Ranger, and ready for RASP. The beauty in learning these skills is to put them to use. You do not buy a toolbox, just to put it away and forget about it. You buy it, to use the tools inside. But maybe that's just me.

    I actually think that individuals who do put on a lot of muscle really fast/hyper respond to weight training do so because of genetics for type 2 muscle fibers. People who have type two fibers predominantly are going to naturally have worse cardio, and adding more muscle that needs glycogen to the system only makes the cardio worse. That being said, strength training should theoretically make you faster, not slower.

I've been playing around with it some recently, and mostly try going for a single leg and have been liking it. But I'm wondering what else works well from there. IN MY EXPERIENCE its easier to get away from trouble when you are with your wife and children. Thugs (according to my experience) have some sort of respect and restraint towards the family unit (I think) and they try their best not to mix a female into a rumble. Even when the woman gets aggresive the gangstas will not lay a finger (in general). So yes its easier to just walk away if you are with kids and women. and here is a legit self defence for if you are still worried: Be friendly

    Ramsey I have a question ⁉️ yesterday I was involved in a street fight ! " I do this stuff, Fo Da Streets!" Yes I know what you are going to say, street fights are for idiots but hear me out. I was at millerton lake in Fresno California, I came with two of my friends (lets leave their names out of this) long story short we were having a great time but my lady friend had WAY to much to drink! Like we are talking multiple bottles. All day I was preaching about how I quit liquor and they should too but at some point it ended up I felt like a parrot 🦜 squaking Polly want a cracker over and over; no one wants to hear it right. So they didn't head my warning ⚠️ everyone was obviously WAY two F***'D UP, She ended up drifting off too sea on a floaty and screaming for help. I turned to her friend , her baby daddy actually (this is common in the central valley) and I said hey, go get your girl. He said he was too out of shape too swim , he's not excessively fat but more built with a little fat on him , a. Big guy. And basically he said she shouldn't have drank so much even tho everyone but me had been pounding it. So I swam out to get her and almost drowned in the process.a good Samaritan offered me her floaty and I managed to save her ( I am lean about 15-17 percent body fat and in decent shape) but I haven't swam in over 2 years. When we got back to shore she attacked her baby daddy: pounced on him! I managed to separate them, but the damage was done and they would not stop fighting. Next she started throwing beers at us from the ice chest, clipping me in the face and leavung a shiner and also hitting a girl well over three hundred pounds . Now I can bench press 275 , but I was hardly able to keep her from f'ing up this little drunk girl who is a scare atom weight. The newly Weds made it to the car and began doing some perverted juijitsu on each other while screaming, a domestic dispute. Meanwhile, one of the other drunk lads accidently locked his keys in his car and proceeded to break his own driver side window. Cops were called (this is all documented on my Instagram) . I left with my friends brother and his friends and we went to the other side of the lake. at this point everyone was truly having a rotten time and started getting on the atom weights level of intoxication. We had some fun in the sun and then it happened! Back story over! Long story short, the driver (my friends best friend) told me he wasnt taking me home and I best get my ass to walking. A heated debate insued, and posturing quickly followed. I realized this was gonna get physical and back in my kempo days we were taught if you feel threatened and can't get out of it , STRIKE FIRST. horrible advice I know, but in this situation I had a drunk idiot in my face making threats, and my back was to his suv. I made the mistake of throwing a jab, something we have been drilling religiously at my boxing gym. He caught it on the retraction and triangle choked me. In my estimation I was out for only about 30 seconds, when I woke up they were kicking me on the ground and actually there were minors hitting me too so I had no choice but to run as striking was out the door at this point. I fled and climbed rocks and managed to escape up the mountain. A couple saw what happened and took me home . Anyways, I was wondering if you could make a video with the premise of my question: I'd you are in a dangerous situation where you feel you can't get out of, should you strike first? Obviously it did not work for me , did I use the wrong strike or am I just that shitty of a grappler? I am a white belt in juijitsu with no wrestling experience. Also I thought you'd get a kick about all four stages of a fight happening in this two minute endeavor: posturing, fight, flight, and submission. I am sure you read this question and hope you make a video, thanks for your time - Nick . True story
