Thank you for stopping by. My videos are to share art with Teachers or support staff in the school district so that they can incorporate cultural teachings with their students. Some of the videos may only be for the staff to try themselves to unwind with or for our monthly Indigenous Learning staff meetings. I also video activities I try out so that maybe you can get inspiration from or use to add cultural lessons with. If you enjoy my videos please like so I know people are watching them. :)

Can you make it without the white/clear beads in the pattern , while still keeping it on the bead loom. Where do it get the pattern to print?
If you left off the clear beads then you would see the strings in those places which would probably hang loose. ;)
I love your ribbon skirt video! Where can i find a copy of the measurements paper you used? And would you have just used 1 panel if you had enough fabric or do you always use 2 panels (front & back)?
You can definitely make one cut of fabric instead of two if it's not patterned fabric or if it doesn't matter on the direction of the pattern. Then you won't have to sew two side seams. If you want to give me your email I can give you the measurement guide I used during our ribbon skirt workshop.
Good view.
If you glue the whole thing like I did or use nail polish at the ends of all the safety pins so they can't open anymore that should work. Or you can take two little safety pins and hook them through the holes on the top safety pin. Either way, I'd recommend using a little bit of clear nail polish to seal all of the safety pins closed.
Hi Nikki, thanks for sharing this tutorial! Just wondering how you would recommend attaching the finished pin to your shirt so that the pins with beads don't slide off?
I'm sorry I though I replied. The idea behind these were for younger students to be able to make a orange shirt with beads without having to use thread and needle (like my beaded orange shirt pins). I guess to wear it I would get two smaller safety pins for each side, or they could wear it like a necklace and use some lace. But yes don't open it, and I recommended even gluing the main pins so they can't open. ;)
