Generally gospel is not my thing...but I gotta give it to them holy shit they fucking blew the roof off. This is one of my all time favorites covers. It is just so rich and soulful and absolutely just astoundingly beautiful... It is a truely amazing tribute worthy of bob dylan.

I feel cheated. I never realized that The Band, in one form or another, continued on for so many years. I thought they ended with The Last Waltz back when I was just a girl. We immigrated to Canada in 1990 so I could have easily taken in a show had I been aware that they were still playing.

Love this, if they don't play it at my funeral I'm not coming; but the best version is the one filmed in Japan when Rick was really dealing with some demons. The Last Waltz version is excellent but the emotions and pain in the one filmed in Tokyo will tear your heart out.

I love Bob Dylan's music. But I am more partial to Marty Robbins' music. Both are definitely geniuses. To each is own.
Love this, if they don't play it at my funeral I'm not coming; but the best version is the one filmed in Japan when Rick was really dealing with some demons. The Last Waltz version is excellent but the emotions and pain in the one filmed in Tokyo will tear your heart out.
