Hey there, I like to film and photograph my hiking and travel adventures exploring the great outdoors, national parks and cool places. Fujifilm lover, and always chasing for that next sunset. When I'm home I like to paint, draw, sketch and incorporate those into my videos, probably as a form of digital journaling.
I look to find the story, the heartbeat and history of every place, and well, if there is none, then I'll use my imagination.
Keep our national parks wild. The world is still beautiful, embrace it.

Cy thanks for this video. My family and I are going to Scotland in a couple of weeks. Is there a way to hike to the first Monroe and go back. I would love to summit one mountain in Scotland. But I don’t have a whole day to hike 7miles. How long do you think it would talk to hike to the first Cairn? 3 hours round trip? Cairn Gorm? Is that the first cairn after the ski lodge. How long would it take you to hike up there. The funicular used to take people up to the ski lodge but it isn’t working now. I would love some advice. Thanks.
Yeah you just don't keep going on the path after making it up to Cairn Gorm, just turn around and head back towards the ski area. Yes, Cairn Gorm is the first one after the lodge. I think it takes about an hour and some change, half of the walk to Cairn Gorm is walking up the actual ski area though.
You could also hike the trail in reverse, here's the AllTrails, trail: www.alltrails.com/trail/scotland/highlands/cairngorm-northern-corries-rim?u=i&sh=xhrxan Have a great time! Definitely bring a jacket even in the summer as it's cooler and windier up there and it can always rain.
@@cyruscrossan thanks.

so awesome to see new work from you!!! this is so interesting and also relatable. loved it!
I figured Stephen might enjoy this! I really enjoyed learning about his musical / creative process
Loved this and great to see you back!
thanks mate - hope to create more in the future
Nicely done! Documentaries is really up your alley dude. You get up close and personal with him and it shows! 👏🏻👏🏻
Interesting. Nice little doc you made Cy!
feels good to make something again!
Here's a short film I've been working on with a friend. It's been a while!
I needed to know this. Appreciate your time 😊
thanks for watching!
Just done 105k up and down them mountains last week, what an experience
I hope you had a blast!
It's funny when people make excuses for go pro.and say the sensor is really smaller because the Camera is so compact. My phone camera and sensor Is extremely small and the video quality is So much better it's not even funny. A gopro is supposed to be a dedicated camera. That's the only job it's supposed to do, and it does it quite poorly. The video footage looks like a camera from 15 years ago. An actual 1080 camera looks way way better, and gopro is supposed to be 4k and beyond. I've never seen gopro footage that even looks as good as 1080.
I can understand that - I remember feeling the same way when I got my first GoPro. I think there are some moments where GoPro footage can really shine and look really good - but it's not for every moment.
Music was too loud. It was very difficult to hear you 😅
Sorry! I learned my lesson. :)
That was absolutely stunning!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Lassen is such a magical area.
Is this much snow expected in late Feb, or does march typically lay the most ?
I would say yes, a lot of snow in both months. The part road usually doesn’t get cleared of snow until May / June. This video was filmed mid March.
50 seconds in and I’m in love with your style.
Thanks! It's what I enjoy creating, glad you liked it!
So much snow :) Beautiful video guys!
Thanks homie!
Like snowflakes we are all unique. And like snowflakes we will all eventually melt into goo. #SeizeTheDay
That's right! Make it count.
you do such beautiful work.
Thanks friend. I appreciate that. Hope you are well.
I like snowy beautiful
Me too, me too!
Always love your videos. This is so beautiful! <3
Thanks friends - keep on with those watercolors and enjoy the tropics!
Wow. This is frickin incredible. The footage is so stunningly gorgeous (even a little more than what we’re pleasantly accustomed to from you). And conceptually - the story and message. So awesome!
Aw thanks! We actually made this in July for Outside Magazine's winter themed contest. It was nice having something in the bin for once 😂
@@cyruscrossan How cool!
It's been a while. Here's something we enjoyed creating. Enjoy!
Was in search for a park in California we could have our first winter camping experience at. Your video was VERY persuasive, great work dude. We hope to be there in 5 days :)
You'll have a blast! Lassen is super underrated in the winter if you enjoy winter and it's activities. Lots of car camping in the parking lot and people hike in and go back country every day.
Great shot!
Thanks, not bad for handheld long exposure in my opinion.
Prettyy
That’s a beaut!
Sure was. Definitely worth bringing the drone and the extra stuff.
Just lovely! Like natures own celebration of colour party
Sure is, the biggest celebration of the year ☺️
Freaking beautiful!
thanks friends!
Damn I miss the Fall. The only color the leaves change to in Floriduh is brown! Save me!
Time for a road trip!
@@cyruscrossan Have a cold 6 pack waiting, I'm on my way!
I couldn't save you, I had to save myself.
@@hotdogrelish Some brand new bestie you turned out to be.
What a beauty!
Thanks, it sure was!
I learned numerous things I didn’t know about my go pro. Thanks for the awesome tips.
Hey Scott, glad these helped you out. Good luck with the future content!
Great help with camera settings, thanks for that but please get rid of the annoying loud music, i can only just hear your voice.
you bet - and yeah, looking back at it, I agree, sorry about that!
awwwww, loved this! thank you guys so much for showing us such great spots (and where to get the best sammies!). ❤
Fun times were had, thanks for hanging and risking your van's life, lol. Hope your current adventures are treating you well!
Have you received our email?
That lake is truly massive! If you can't see land other side of the horizon - then just it an ocean :) Beautiful scenery!
They are small oceans for sure. No salt though...
We flew into Chicago on our way back from Montana and seeing the Lake Michigan from the sky really gives a sense of how massive it is. I don't trust lakes that big! 😆
They're awesome and they have lake monsters!
Northern Michigan summers are hard to beat! Thanks for spending the day with all of us!
Back in june me and my fam went to orcas island for a few days and one of the days we decided to go do whale watching and we got to see humpbacks
Yeah, it's a cool area!
I cannot without crying. I know I was there before. I know it with everything in me
It's an incredible and magical place!
That’s a sharp lens man :)
It's pretty tack sharp if you can get close enough to the subject! :)
Very beautiful scenery around the forest
Thanks for watching!
the opening line on this video immediately brought to mind our road to Pyramid Point. 😅
too true 😂 the van’s worst enemy, sand
your videos always put me in such a zen place. 🤗
Thanks! I enjoy whenever I get the time to sketch.
I'm not one drawn to the exacting attention to detail needed for architecture so Feats of Engineering are one of those things where I shake my head and tip my cap. I had a similar feeling when we saw some of the stone arches we were driving over on the Going to the Sun road in Glacier. The ingenuity and perseverance of Man!
It's just crazy sometimes, I find bridges pretty interesting. Going to the Sun is pretty wild as well, when there's a will, there's a way if people really want to get there.
Brilliant video and narration my friend, looks like a great place to hike and explore. Such a beautiful energy and atmosphere!
Thank you! It's a great area to explore, a lot to you can do!
Happy to be back exploring and sketching an amazing place! Would love to get back there some day. Enjoy!
just there last week 7 lakes anna, echo allyson billy be dam, diamond, deer, ben to 55 lakes
