@rgm4646 it's probably still my favourite although I enjoy the fenix as well. Will get the 777 later this week so looking forward to trying that at the weekend.

Not for this one, unfortunately, as there was too much background noise going on.
British Airways Parks near Taxiway Romeo at Gate B25 in Phoenix Sky Harbor. B25 is at Terminal 4. Once off the Runway, Speedbird usually goes on Taxiway Bravo then Romeo followed by the Blue Quebec Line. You got the right Terminal, but it was the wrong gate. You parked at Gate A25 which can't fit a B787.
Out of interest is there anywhere to look up correct gates for respective airlines?

aperantly the Tiger Moth was first flown on 26th of October 1931... so exactly 68 years before the day I was born... This plane shares the birthday with me (or I share it with the plane)... that's cool

hi i have a question, how can you use ils approach in China? every time I press the app button it doesn't work but if I use the ils approach outside China it always works
Is this with any specific airport in China? I can't recall having any issue but some of the airports in China are a mess. Missing runways, taxiways etc or just not there at all. Might be something to do with that.
Not sure what is up with the Fenix at the moment. Issues with the flight plan after take off then the landing was very untidy as the power management seemed quite erratic on the auto throttle.

Couple of notes, at the start I mention I'm flying to Izmir because that is what it lists it as in the tour I am following, in reality the airfield is someway from Izmir and just outside Selcuk so hence the tile! Secondly the power issue I had on landing, turns out to be a carb heat issue, the two blue leavers next tot he parking brake control that! Now I know, I should avoid this problem in the future!!
Apologies for the stuttering. It's an OBS encoding issue as the sim itself runs totally stutter free on flights like this. Working on fixing the issue!!

Love these small peripheral airfields/airports. Do you plan to flight to some Greek islands as well? Some approaches can be tricky. Subscribed!
Discovering the smaller airfields is a lot of fun. I always enjoy flying to locations that aren't typical destinations you might think of. I actually did a Greek Islands tour a while ago which you can find on the playlists. Other than getting randomly rostered to Greek destinations as I did Santorini recently I don't have any specific plans currently. There's still a few Greek destinations left on this tour including an Island or two. And of course if there is a particular route you would like to see then feel free to request it!

Can never say no to rum!! Just about managed to stay on the runway. Probably should have approached on the other runway but sometimes it's fun to make things a bit more challenging!! :D
Urghh apologies for the stutters. It seems OBS is being useless again as the sim is much smoother!!! If anyone knows a better recorder which doesn't generate massive files let me know!!!
Worth pointing out there is a good freeware Thessaloniki on flightsim.to that adds the missing runway I landed on!!! I'll use it for the departure on the next leg.
What a strange airport
It's certainly interesting some of the layouts and locations you find an airfield in!!
I think NVIDIA was supposed to help Asobo fix the blurry avionics when using DLSS - I'm guessing that didn't happen and we have to wait until MSFS 2024 is released for it to be fixed.
I believe that is the case. I know with the 40 series cards there is DLSS version 3. Whether that fixes things I don't know. Yes DLSS does blur the glass displays a bit but as I am flying in 4k (i scale back to 1080 on OBS fpr uploading) it is still readable. On the upside taxiing around airports just feels much smoother so it's a trade off I'm happy with for the time being as for me stutters drive me crazy!!!
There is one thing I learned is there is no such thing as a "quick airliner flight" in flight simulation. It ALWAYS eats up more time than you think! So less time consuming flight in a smaller aeroplane can be just as enjoyable. Wonderful videos as always VS1 :)
Absolutely. As much as I enjoy the complexity of the airliners I do also enjoy the more hands on flying and being low and slow in something like the Tiger Moth.

Realised I left my mic on mute for landing!!🙈. At least I didn't smash it into the runway this time. Back to floating instead. As you retard the throttles there seems to be a very fine line between too much thrust causing the float and it dropping away sharply as you reduce power. Makes for a good challenge!!
Apologises for the low voice sound. I realised I had my "ducking" set the wrong way round so the sim sounds would lower my voice, instead of the other way round!!! Essentially I was just lamenting the quality of the Twin Otter and it's twitchy handling and also physics which were very evident as I flew over the cliffs on final approach!!
Well the new mic is certainly clearer!! :D Bear with me whilst I get to grips with the best level between my voice and the sim sounds!!

Apparently there's a bug at the moment with the take off power. You'll notice it took me ages to get up to speed and airborne actually resulting in a tail strike. The solution Apparently is to cycle the power settings back and forth. Will try that for the next flight which should hopefully solve the issue.
Pro tip:- remember to set the altitude before taking off!!!#🙈
So the landing was a bit of a disaster! I've added a view to my flight stick controls to help me easily see to the side and practiced on the brakes a bit more. should do a better job next time on stopping it in time!!! :D
Apologies for the faffing around with the engine start at the beginning. Just jump to about 13 mins in to skip it all. I know what I missed out not so will be far quicker going forwards!! But what a fabulous plane to fly. I thoroughly recommend this. It handles perfectly. Expect to see much more of the Tiger Moth going forwards!
I'm not too sure what has happened to the Stearman. It's gone from a great plane to easily pick up and fly to a very twitchy very tricky handful since the updates. Might have to look at alternatives for sightseeing as a plane that jerks around all over the place is not ideal. A shame as it used to be ideal for these fights!
You need to work on your taxi and takeoff skills. You rushed the landing gear deployment and flaps deployment, almost caused overspeed the flaps. You need to do it in increments as the speed decreases.
Taxiing has always and will probably always be rather haphazard on this channel due to the limited amount of free time I have. Not helped by it being very easy to oversteer with the FBW A320 when turning. Take off. Yeah the ground handling of some planes make keeping it straight a bit of a battle Landing. Sure, can definitely be guilty of getting the gear down to soon or configuring too early. Although I notice a degree of variation in real life to. I used to live under the approach to LHBP and some planes would come over gear up and others gear down so I'm guessing that procedures for that may vary by airline.
I'm going to hazard a guess and say that the warning that went off when I landed was because I forgot to take the power mode off cruise!! 🙈
I'm glad a developer has finally done Stansted, not only its a good airport to have in the sim for flights involving "London" to wherever I am quite fond of this airport IRL as its where I fly to when I visit my UK relatives. Again, many thanks for your wonderful videos VS1 :)
Stansted is my local airport. Have travelled through it many times. The freeware was OK but Inibuilds have done a really great job with it!
